"Structure appeared extremely old; super trippy decor; interesting and unique - very different from typical budget lodging such as a Motel 6. Almost a caricature of a hostel. Might not appeal to all. We stayed in the building next door (I think they called it the "balcony" room - no balcony. It was very small, quiet and we felt safe. Bus and trolley lines were very close. Overall vibe of the place was great."

"The hotel and staff were great - no issues here. Breakfast was well stocked and had everything we wanted. However, the surrounding area is a little run down and for 2-3 nights (weekend?) there was non-stop engine revving from what seemed like drag races happening outside the hotel and very close. This is unfortunate as it cause us to not stay here again for this reason alone when the hotel was perfect in every other way. "

Just a short walk to Bourbon Street and all of the locations throughout the French Quarter that you are looking for. Friendly and inviting staff with beautiful artistry and architecture. Highly recommend for a quick getaway weekend in New Orleans. Five stars!"
