"Our girls' weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday, was fabulous, due in large part to the lovely stay we had, in St. Charles at this VRBO property. Communication was always prompt and friendly with the owner and clearly set out the expectations for our stay. The home was easy to access, parking terrific and the neighborhood, very quiet. We found the home to be nicely decorated with comfort amenities like extra blankets, trash bags, plenty of dishes and towels, and comfortable beds. Best of all, the entire home was absolutely spotless! We felt at home immediately and enjoyed the extras like coffee and a nice coffee maker, very nice refrigerator. We did not use the hot tub, or television, but they both looked very nice. The location of this home was very convenient to Main Street shopping, Oktoberfest, and many restaurants. It was a short drive to each of them. We all had a wonderful time, and would return here in a heartbeat. Thanks, Rachel, for your hospitality and preparedness for our visit!"

I was initially looking at some local hotels and found this for less than a hotel would cost. I would definitely stay here again. Such a great place."

"The suite has potential but is not suited for four adults and needs more supplies. This is an upper level suit (not mentioned in the ad). Very charming. Close to shops and restaurants, the university. Drove three full days to get here and help move my daughter into her university house. Planned to have several meals in the house during the five day stay. Suite is supposed to sleep 4 people. The pull out futon is 4x7’ approximately. Too small for two adults, Not great for even one adult. Especially with the cushion cracks. Bedding for the futon was not provided and so I shared the bed with my adult daughter which was not preferred by either of us. There were only three coffee cups, three bowls, one wine glass. I made and served salad in a pot (no bowls). No dish towel to dry dishes after hand washing. Large clothing rack had three wire hangers. Ran out of hand soap, shampoo and conditioner (2 in 1 sample size) and dishwasher detergent after two days so had to go purchase all of these things. Could not bring them with me because I flew home. Needs salt and pepper. No way to store partially used food. And the refrigerator was not clean upon our arrival. In summary, the place is not set up for four people and I feel having paid hundreds of dollars to stay, 30 could be spent to make people feel more comfortable and the place more usable."
