I stayed at Hotel Franziskaner in Zurich on a business trip, sharing a room with a colleague. Overall, the hotel was well located and convenient for getting around the city.
The room was comfortable and perfectly adequate for single occupancy, but in hindsight it was quite small for two people sharing. The bathroom facilities were good, although the space was very compact. It was an interesting and clever use of the limited space, but it did feel rather confined.
The location was a definite positive. It is very central, with good access to public transport and plenty of restaurants and dining options within easy walking distance. There are also several bars very close by, some of which stay open late, so the area has a lively atmosphere in the evenings.
Another useful feature for a business stay was the 24-hour access to the building, which made coming and going at different times very convenient.
Overall, Hotel Franziskaner is a well-located and practical option for a short business stay, particularly if travelling alone. For two colleagues sharing a room, however, I would recommend considering the room size carefully.
