With new restrictions and safety precautions to follow, travel looks a lot different at the moment. These are some helpful things to know before you pack your suitcase for Femø:

• Before committing to anything, see if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by checking government and airport websites.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to temporarily lower your mask to verify your identity.
• Instead of handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, position it straight on the reader yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray screening.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• If you're planning to take food on the plane, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.

As lockdowns start to lift, airlines have resumed services with new strategies including physical distancing and increased sanitization. Here's what a number of carriers are doing to help lessen the spread of COVID-19:
