"We have three people in our room and no extra blankets!?!?? Not even enough for the amount of guests. Our room smelled awful, like stale farts. Not the best stay. At least get enough blankets. Luckily I had one in my car. Second night, the lock broke on our door and they couldn’t fix it and they had no other rooms so they told us we could check out. Trash. "

"For our anniversary my wife and i decided to drive to Covington and spend the night where we first stayed on our honeymoon. When we pulled up to the front door the car was surrounded by transients, all smoking and nothing about it felt right or safe. I walked into the lobby and the smell of smoke was so strong, I could hardly breathe. The man who checked us in, (wearing a heavy linked chain with a lock around his neck) was very kind, but again, it was nowhere near the atmosphere we remembered and that motivated us to drive 6 hours to stay at. I figured since I had prepaid for the night, once we got to the room we could get through one night. The elevator smelled the same as the lobby and when we reached our room, saw the door was propped open. I pushed the door open unsure of what I would find. The smell of smoke was so strong in the room I couldn’t breathe and I knew we couldn’t stay. Went back to the desk and explained the situation, gave my key back, lost the price of the room, drove to another city, paid for another room. I have traveled as part of my job for most of my life. I can take a room that’s sub par but for the first time in my life, felt afraid and unsafe. A lesson I will never have to learn again. From now on, I stick with hotel chains I know. "

"When we first got there they told us that the pool was closed, I only booked this hotel because it had a pool otherwise I would have stayed somewhere nicer. We looked past that and went to the room but when we got there the bed was unmade and there was stuff all on the ground like it had not been vacuumed. There were also yellow (looked like cheese sauce) on the blanket. After going downstairs the lady at the front desk rolled her eyes at my wife and said she would give us a new room, the lady then got smart with my wife and asked if we wanted her to go check it first, but at a hotel the room should be clean and ready for the next guest. While the lady at the front desk was upstairs the laundry person kept walking past and getting smart with my wife and we asked for a manager at that point but she stated there was not one there. We did end up staying because it was late and we were tired after driving but we will never stay here again. I’d much rather sleep in my car than sleep here. Don’t even get me started on the smoke detector having tape sealing it off. "
