"liked this restored palace site and location did not like breakfast area, not comfortable"

"If you’re driving watch out the hotel is easy to miss, it’s on your right hand side as you go up the steep narrow street. If possible turn into the side road just before the hotel and park near the junction. The hotel car park is not far from there. Lovely quiet situation but not far from the town centre. Nice room with comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and helpful."

"Good hotel and staff very friendly. Comfortable room with a good size."

"We had a comfortable stay, bed and shower were good. Staff was friendly and breakfast was basic, but good. Would recommend for a quick stay. "

"The Hotel is clean but very outdated, the breakfast is excellent "

"A little dated, but comfortable and friendly. Beware if you are getting on, there are 43 stairs to the 2nd floor."

"Great little gem. Lovely location Very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. "

"My room had a lanai which was sort of a Juliet balcony. It was large, well appointed & looked out over a lovely park."

"It is just like a castle on a hill, surrounded by geoves of fruit trees...so peaceful. You really should stay here for the experience."

"This hotel is right in the centre of Viseu, the rooms were very spacious and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here, it’s a beautiful building and ideal for staying in Viseu."

"Good location and parking. Breakfast was good. Rooms clean and comfortable bed. Parking included was a bonus. Nice bar and patio area. Did not use pool as a bit cool air temp. Dafe area."

"Centrally located. Excellent staff, and breakfast. Overall would stay again."

"Small family-run hotel located at a small village. Very well maintained. Room was really comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. It is also conveniently located very close to the PR7 hiking trail. Other highlights of the region, such as Ponte Arouca, are within a 45 minutes radius. I waa happy to stay there. Just beware that there is no restaurant in the hotel nor within walking distance, and neither a supermarket nearby."

"A typical travelers hotel. Tired but very clean with all facilities. Looks like it comes to life in the holidays. Helpful staff with our strange nèeds. "
