"Relaxing spa and a nice breakfast "

"Stayed only one day but if i had more time I would definitely stay at this Hotel.It is centrally located in the historic part of Viseu ."

"We had the most wonderful stay here for 3 days over easter. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, every part of it is carefully thought out. The decor is gorgeous, rooms spacious with lovely high ceilings and it is immaculately clean. The grounds are stunning, service and staff exceptional, i cannot think of one negative thing about our stay. Breakfast was also excellent and dinner in the restaurant the same with very reasonable pricing too for a 5 star hotel. A couple of minutes walk away are a couple of pleasant local restaurants and if you have a car, lots of hikes nearby. We loved every minute of our stay and would return in a heartbeat. "

"Puro Dao is one of my best hotel and spa experiences. To start with the location; It is located in the outskirts of a charming village in the countryside. There is a station 2 minutes away so you don’t need a car to get there. Once you inside you fell relaxed and very welcome by the lovely staff. Everything is perfect from the different climate smart light to the materials and over to the furnitures and interior design. The Spa is amazing and so is the outdoor pool in the garden. The nature surrounding the village is great for hiking and there is different hiking trails. After the hike I recommend a treatment in the spa, I got a hot stone massage which was heaven. Finally, don’t miss the great local wines and food in the restaurant, or the breakfast. "

"Breakfast was pretty average and rooms very nice and clean. Staff was very quiet - could have been a bit more welcoming but we had limited interaction so not a huge deal."

"Excellent breakfast. The scenery and surrounding area is beautiful. The locals are very friendly. Not much available for restaurants in the off season, but what we found was delicious. Peaceful. Clean air. Quiet. "

"We had a fabulous time at Casa dos Chuchos. Antonio & Eva are great hosts offering local cultural insights and destinations of interest. They were also very responsive to any questions or problem we were facing. Their house is very comfortable with an abundance of character. If you enjoy ‘historical architecture’, Carregal do Viriato is the place to stay. The neighbourhood buildings, narrow streets & cobblestone roads transport you to the past.Thank you Antonio & Eva for a memorable week, and we highly recommend Casa dos Chuches to everyone."

"Beautiful hotel in rural setting. Owner Miguel reserved our Acoura 516 bridge tickets as our international charge card was not accepted. The continental buffet breakfast was delicious and freshly served. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evening which Miguel started each evening. If we return to the area to hike we will definitely stay here again. It was impressively clean and staff (his family :) friendly. "
