"We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, everything was perfect. The viwes are unbelievable. I Would highly recommend, we done the full journey by public transport ane it was so easy to get around without a car. We slept in and had to leave in a hurry at checkout and feel really bad about not having time to give the accommodation a proper clean before we left. "

"This place was fantastic. Location was great to visit all the towns nearby. The house was nicely furnished with all the amenities. Lots of space to move around. The last evening was chilly so we had a fire and it really warmed the place up!"

"We had a wonderful time - Cottage is perfectly placed - 50 yds from a choice of wonderful walks left to the Harbour & on to St Abbs Head, or turn right to Coldingham and beyond. Very impressed with the accommodation - cosy and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better place to stay, and the Tunnocks wafers were a very nice extra - thank you!"

"Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time."

"Lovely, clean, well kept property. Ideal position, far enough away from the A1 not to hear it but close enough for easy access to the whole North East. Lovely little group of farm cottages and very welcoming host. Would happily stay again if visiting the area and certainly recommended to other travellers."

"We recently stayed at May Cottage and it was just what we needed. The cottage is lovely and much bigger than we anticipated, especially the bedrooms - they’re a really big! Kitchen has everything you need and even though we had taken hand wash and washing up liquid etc, it was all provided. Even dishwasher tablets! The views from the garden are exceptional and it was very quiet. We loved sitting watching the families of swallows flying in and out of their nests and listening their babies...

"A beautiful property that was perfect for our needs. There were five adults and four children in our group and it catered, and was accessible, for all. Supermarkets are close, the views are fantastic, and the house itself was clean and tidy. We had to switch the timer off on the heating as it was very cold with it on but the house warmed up very quickly and it was really warm after a while. We would absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone."
