First when I entered the room there were no curtains on the windows. The outside doors leading out to the balcony did not open. The storm shutters had no way to hold them open. The common areas were ok. As for the room the bed was awful and placed length wise against the wall and made up with cheap linen. The Wi-Fi worked for my first few hours in the room then stopped working for the rest of my 4 or 5 day stay.. I never do reviews but this had to be said

Dear Daniel,we are sorry if you were unable to open the shutters. You could have asked us for help and we would have helped you with pleasure! The shutters are typical of our region. There are curtains in the room, we don't understand the reason for your comment. You booked a single room and therefore with a single bed. The linen is not poor but in line with our standard of the other rooms. The wifi works and you could have asked at the reception for that too!

Lovely little hotel in a quiet area of Firenze. Supermarket few metres away. Bus stop nearby and few restaurants around. Breakfast is not much in variety but enough to get by and start your day. Nice bed, pillows and storage facility. If you want a taxi, best thing to do is ask the reception. And remember reception closes at 8pm. Mark was excellent always trying to help as much as possible and also the lady receptionist (sorry I forgot to ask her name) Overall positive hotel.

The owner ( Gentleman) in the office, was very helpful. The lady helping with the breakfast looked very annoyed all the time. The beds, pillows and mattress were terrible. The sheets felt like paper;( The room and the bathroom smelled like a very strong urine. I can still smell it! So gross. The free breakfast was not very good. It was free, I guess!!

My friend and I were quite underwhelmed when we first entered our room. I had booked a triple room but there were no sheets or pillows on the twin bed, only two pillows on the queen bed. There were no batteries in the safe and the plug on the electric kettle did not match the outlet on the wall. There were also a few stains on the duvet and mattress cover. Of course all these issues were resolved when I brought them to the front desk person’s attention the next morning, however, they did cause a bad first impression.

IT WAS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE RESERVATION THAT YOU WANTED TO SLEEP ON TWO SEPARATE BEDS. A TRIPLE ROOM FOR TWO PEOPLE, ONLY THE DOUBLE BED IS PREPARED, THE THIRD BED IS A SOFA.

All of the staff was helpful, kind and engaging. Shonna (not sure I spelled her name correctly) was so kind and accommodating with my dietary needs for breakfast. She had a great sense of humor and a smile every morning. We had a great time and would definitely come back when we’re in Florence again!

Hotel was good just far from main attractions. Only one thing I had an issue with was the A/C and called the reception and the guy looked like he was bothered. Other than that it was good.

Dear Frances,we are glad you enjoy your stay.. but at the same time we are a bit astonished because when you caled assistance at 12.00 pm for the air conditioning, the guy immediately came to you. The problem didn't exist cause when he knoked on the door in the meantime (2 minutes) the air conditioning worked correctly. I'ts not like electricity.. it takes one about one minute before it start!

The stay was decent but very inconvenient if you wanted to go anywhere. Taxi service would not go to the hotel unless you reserved your taxi the day before. The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was pleasant but the only downfall was the limited public transportation in the area.

It’s a small hotel, family-operated and owned who were all magnificent. We checked in really late and who I believe was the head of the family was very helpful and even saved me money on parking. The room was small, but very cozy and clean. It also had all the major amenities that most been g hotel have. We missed breakfast time the following, but the lady still let us have a small breakfast and a few capuchinos.

Great place to stay
This hotel is a great place to stay in Florence, the room was just the right size for 2 people and super clean. The gentleman on reception was lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast in the morning was your standard continental breakfast, but tasty all the same. The hotel is a little walk away from the city centre - around 20 min walk but this didn’t bother us at all the streets felt very safe, even at nighttime. I would recommend staying here to any friends or family visiting Florence.

A few night stay
The room was very clean and the front desk was very helpful. They were able to call us taxis to be picked up in the mornings and for anything we needed help with. Would definitely stay there again.

Away from the crowds but short walk from (or bus ride) from several of the important places, mostly in a straight line. couple of non touristy places nearby to have quiet coffee, snack or drink.

It is not in the heart of Florence. Which is a good thing it makes getting around easier. You can walk from the hotel to the city center in 15 minutes.

The hotel was a little out of the way but easy to walk to old city and explore Florence. Very large, comfortable room. Close to some lovely restaurants where you eat with locals. Breakfast quite adequate.

Pros: Rooms are larger than what you typically find in Italy Elevator made it easier to carry luggage up the floors Grocery store down the street Complimentary tea in the room Cons: Not centrally located. It is necessary to walk to popular destinations The beds are not very comfortable Mosquitoes in the room if windows are left open for too long

Dear Guest, thanks for the positive marks and as regards our location, it is published in every search internet engine, every booking internet service and on our web site. We are on google maps and our position is well described when someone do a reservation so if you prefer to be closer to the most city highlights you should have booked in a hotel in the very center. Anyway from our structure it takes 15/20 minutes walking to the very center. As regards the mosquitos, the rooms has an anti mosquitos inside to be use and in any case, as every city during summer, mosquitos are there. Kind Regards

This is a great property. A short walk to the centre of Florence. It has a restaurant and court yard yard where you can have a beautiful glass of Italy wine in the evening. Fresh pastry's, expresso and fruit for breakfast with. Very well priced

The bedding was dirty and there were lots of hair on the floor,the shower door was broken. We faced a very unpleasant situation with the parking. At the beginning they said that they don't have any area where we can park the car,and informed us to park on the public parking area. When we went to let our laggages another person from staff informed us that we can park in their inner yard by free. When we leave the hotel they asked us to pay taxes for parking for each day. The staff was rude, definetedly not client oriented ,I don't recommend this location.

Astro Mediceo is an ancient Villa converted into this beautiful, artistic, cosy hotel. I really enjoyed my night and breakfast (unfortunately I booked just 1 night for me and my boyfriend). The hotel is central - 15 min walk to Palazzo Vecchio or less than 10 min by bus. We arrived by car from Pisa where we landed, the hotel has a parking where you can safely leave the car during your stay and the day of your check-out, if you want to have a tour of Firenze. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, always ready to help with directions and suggestions. Very tidy and I would definitely recommend

Lovely hotel only 15 minute walk from the Cathedral. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel was one of the best meals I had. I barely heard the neighbouring railway tracks during our stay. It was quiet and had everything we needed for our holiday.

Nice little Hotel. Walking distance to everything you need. Staff is very caring and tentative. If you take the#13 bus to Michelangiolo then walk back to the hotel, you will see everything Florence has to offer. Close to train station if you want to go to Venice, Pisa or Rome.

Lovely hotel understated.
So this hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the main attractions. It was very comfortable, very clean and very quiet. Ideal to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Also the restaurant was superb. Highly recommended.
