Housing while husband was in Rehab

While on vacation my husband broke his hip and spent several days in the hospital and rehab before he was able to travel home. I spent several days hotel hopping until I found this VRBO. Home was perfect and affordable for my needs.

Nice 4 night stay

The house is not fully renovated yet. Despite this, it was very clean and did not cause a problem. The bath was sweet and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning! A red headed woodpecker made a regular appearance. We will book again.

We had a weekend stay to do some mardi gras time with family. The house was perfect for us and our pooch. PLENTY of room. Comfortable bed. HOT water for the tub- no shower but but that does not affectour stay

Great place to stay

The listing is accurate and the host was wonderful. We arrived for spring break to find our original accommodation was not going to work and were desperate. Found thus great place to stay and were able to salvage our trip.

Great property for our stay

We needed an affordable place to stay for quite some time to help with a family member who had surgery. This was perfect. We had our privacy and the location was perfect for all of our needs.

Windows was not covered, no hot water for the first day. He was upset because I covered the windows with towels. I don’t feel like there should be uncovered windows when renting a property and then get upset when the tenants cover them for privacy

The location was very nice . Roomier than expected. The cleanliness was nice. The furniture could use an upgrade but worked okay. It was an overall good experience. Would like to have a shower. Would stay again.

Cute place. Spacious two bedroom. The power company shut the power off when we first arrived, but it was turned back on in the first 10 minutes. The handheld shower was tedious and cumbersome to use when shampooing hair after a day at the beach. A real shower would be nice. We did see one massive cockroach one night. But other than that it was a really cute place to stay. Private. Quiet. Side street. 5 minute drive to just about everything.

Furnished garage.

Supposed to be totally refurbished cottage.It is a garage being converted to cottage and is not finished. Walls were dirty floor was dirty. No place for pet to do its business. Window over tub is directly at an ally where anyone can look in. There are no curtains on any windows.some trim work was busted. Couch was something that could have been picked up from road side. Could not find washer and dryer. Not enough towels limited dishes. No hand soap in bathroom. Old dirty tooth brush left by bathroom sink. Host was very rude. We stayed 1 night host would not refund 3 nights we did not stay. She got paid for 4 nights for 1. Don't book this place you'll be sorry.

Nice kitchen and bedrooms! We moved TV into the bedroom so we could watch TV in bed. The tub is nice!!

Great Location

When we first walked in it had an odd smell, my wife thought it was smokey, I thought it was the smell of an old closed up garage. Not a big deal for us, but it could be aired out. The space was nice, and clean. The couch and chair in the living room area could probably be replaced or recovered but we didn't use them much anyway. Our dog loved the place, for us it was mostly just a place to crash at night. The other item that others have mentioned is not having a shower in the bathroom, the shower head on the tub can be tricky but it works. It is in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood off the main street, and close to everything we needed to get to. It was also nice to be able to walk our dog around the block, and down the alley. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will consider it again should we get back to the area.

Perfect location for baseball tournament

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel setup this is not for you. This was perfect for our family of three to stay in while in town for The Perfect Game Gulf Shores baseball tournament. Clean and closer to the main fields we played on. Shower is awkward as it does not have a curtain so it was more of a sit down shower. You can tell it is still not completely remodeled, but for the price it was perfect. Would stay again. Even the dog loved it.

Great Get Away!

I chose this property because it was really convenient to our events of the week and offered amenities we needed that a hotel doesn't for the same price. I booked before Michael S. left his awful review, so I was a little worried after seeing that review later on. The pictures show you exactly what you are getting. The backyard garage has been refurbed into the cutest little cottage on the inside. Way more space than we needed! While there isn't much yard for pets, there is an alley just behind the cottage with plenty of grassy spaces and I was the only car I ever saw travel the alley, so super safe. So safe, that my daughter left my trunk wide open all night and all of my belongings were still there the next morning. The window over the tub does open up to the alley but it is a small window and unless there are people in trees, nobody is seeing in the bathroom. The window actually gives great lighting in the bathroom. The couch... I fell asleep on it after a long day at the beach and it is quite comfortable and very clean. Washer and dryer were easy to find. The utility room is connected to one of the bedrooms and easy to find. My only recommendation to the owner was to add more mirrors, preferably a full length on the back of the bathroom door or bedrooms doors. If ever in the area, we would for sure stay there again.
