Mando spoke English which was a plus and he was really helpful and made our trip very pleasant. The train station is less than 5 mins walk, very close to restaurants and convenience store. "Good stay. We did find a used dirty product wrapper between bed and window sill. Otherwise everything was clean. Was worried it will be small from reviews but we had plenty of space for 6 nights staying as a couple. The bath was nice and deep. The mirror desk area had good lighting for makeup. The Onsen was phenomenal to end and start the days with. Use ueno station exit 3 as its the closest one. For improvements, I wish Apa hotel had a public meeting space. And we had fresh towels but also cups, yakutas and hygine supplies brought outside our door every morning which was wrapped in a lot of plastic. I appreciated it but It's lots of plastic waste. Would stay again. Great staff too."

The staff was great, the rooms are spacious and clean and it is right in front of the park, so we could go for a run in the morning, as well as admiring the view from our window. It's very well connected with buses and metro lines - the shinkansen also stops at Ueno so it's a good location. Plenty of food options around and uber eats delivery. We will definitely come back again."
