"What a beautiful family-run Casa! Old-world charm meets with comfort and convenience. The common areas are so inviting and interesting to browse. We looked forward to head over for breakfast and see what delights would be offered. Always well set up with an excellent variety. Our room was nice and large - very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom amenities (towel warmer, double sized shower with great water pressure, etc.). "

"This charming hotel punches way above its two-star rating, Lovely helpful and friendly staff, amazing breakfast, comfortable, scrupulously clean and thoughtfully-designed rooms offset the fact that the hotel backs onto the railway -- which is the only reason I can think of that the hotel hasn't earned another star. But in truth, there aren't that many trains (evenings are tranquil). An walk from the train station, the hotel is close to a number of good restaurants."

"The room was very clean, comfortable, owner of property welcomed us. Very safe and quiet location. Parking lots inside property very big plus although outside street parking safe and plenty. Bcz house has no number it took a while to find the property. However the customer care was very helpful and we found the location. Also pictures of street and property were sent to help us. "We were offered a switch to a river view when we checked in and it was well worth it. We got a fabulous view across to the Sandeman's estate opposite and of the river either side. The room itself was very good, decent size, quiet and comfortable. Service was superb apart from the long wait at times to get a drink at the bar. It was worth the wait for the very comfortable lounge which had a huge picture window overlooking the Douro. Breakfast is very good, a well stacked buffet with a wide...
