Beach Haven is the perfect park-like retreat for being as relaxed or adventurous as you feel. The light and bright open concept living area include a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and an eat-in island. The large dining table is the perfect place to enjoy a memorable meal with loved ones. Choose from many comfortable seating options throughout the room to relax and enjoy the ocean, lake, and pond views.

In the separate game room, watch a movie, play video or board games, or try your luck on the foosball or shuffleboard tables. The game room has it all, including a queen sofa sleeper.

There are three additional bedrooms (Primary King, and 2 queens) to choose from, two with en-suites and one additional detached bath.

The private guest cottage includes a queen bed, private bathroom with shower, sitting area, refrigerator, and TV.

Outside unwind in the ocean view hot tub or relax by the lively pond filled with colorful lily pads and fish. The storybook gazebo is the perfect place to read a book or just enjoy the nature all around you.

The property borders MacKerricher State Park. The park offers miles of hiking trails to enjoy all of the Mendocino Coast's natural splendor. It covers nine miles of coastline that contains several types of coastal habitat, including beaches, dunes, headlands, coves, wetlands, tide pools, forests, and a freshwater lake.
**Please Note: due to state park funding cuts, the trail around Lake Cleone that is used to access the beach from the property is not currently being maintained.

Less than 1/2 mile away, you will find Cleone Grocery & Ricochet Ridge Ranch, where you can schedule a horseback ride on the beach.

This truly is the perfect retreat to make lasting Mendocino memories with your family and friends.

This home was the perfect space for my family of 5 with room for more. Close enough to town, very close to the beach, well equiped for cooking and family games. Will try to stay here again in the future.

Rest and relaxation

Great place to come and get some much-needed, rest and relaxation with the family. Property is very beautiful spacious with wonderful views and plenty of space for the family. We will definitely be coming back!

This home was very clean and welcoming and the view is spectacular! It has plenty of room for the whole family and is very comfortable for all ages. I wish we could have stayed a few more days.

Beautiful house and grounds

The photos didn't do it justice. Loved the decorations. Super spacious and comfortable. May be the best house we have rented. The hot tub is located on the deck facing the ocean where we could watch the sun go down.

Family get away

Pros: hot tub was perfect, house is beautiful, loved the game room for the kids to play with all the toys and shuffle board and foos ball was a great pass time, plenty of space for everyone, dog bowl, treats and towels were provided for for our dog, and a wonderful bottle of wine with the adults! Con’s: I read some reviews before our stay that said the Cottage smell like skunk, this unfortunately was true.

Great for group of 8.

We came last minute to Ft Bragg and luckily this place was still available. We came up for a fishing trip and not knowing how parking would work out, but we were able to fit our boats/trailers in here no problem. The hot tub was hot, everything was clean. It was great for 8 fishing dudes. 5 stars and if it were available again, we would for sure do it again.

Mendocino Coast vaca close tp parks, beaches and great small towns!

We absolutely enjoyed the spacious well equipped and well decorated property. We had a distant ocean view from the large deck and gazebo. The kitchen appliances were top drawer. The game room, bedrooms and dining room were all you could ask for. The only downsides were proximity to the highway, a broken front gate and intermittent internet (but who needs internet when you have a great sunset, a glass of wine and a great hot tub)!

Fabulous Trip to the Coast

We had a wonderful stay in Fort Bragg. Even though it was stormy getting hear, it was well worth the trip from the Bay Area. The home is nicely layed out and the master bedroom was roomy. The other two bedrooms were nice size, each with their own personal bathroom. The game room was nice addition for young teen to sleep on the couch. The guest house was perfect size for 20 year old son. Our two dogs loved the fenced in back yard to romp and play. They had towels readily available to towel of muddy paws. I would definately stay here again.

Beach Haven

Wonderful location, close to town, close to beaches, quiet & cozy. I wish we didn't to to deal with regular maintenance calls. Fireplace pilot light out. We had cold showers for the first two days (issue with insta-hot heater). I had to keep facet running while showing--defeaing the purpose of water conservation. Flooding in game room, socks kept getting wet--never dried out during our 1 week stay. Oven stopped working (thaked goodness it was after Thanksgiving). Regular maintenance checkups on home after guests' stay would be ideal. conservation.

Amazing home!

We are so happy we booked this house. We had 3 generations together for a family vacation and loved this home. Very close to downtown Fort Bragg and local beaches. The home has 4 beds/4 bath which was important to us so that everyone could have their own space. It also has a huge game room with a pull-out queen bed which my kiddos slept on.The kitchen is remodeled and leads right to the family room so we could all hang out together. The property is lovely! Hot tub, pond, and a very large backyard. We had a slight problem with the cable but the property management company was super responsive and sent someone out right away! 5 star service from that company! We all felt so at home and welcomed! Some properties have notes all over the home instructing "Don't do this! Don't do that!", but that wasn't the case at this home, we all felt so comfortable and welcomed! From the fresh flowers they left on the kitchen counter, to all the extra blankets and amenities. We will definitely be back. 5 Star home!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beach Haven has a lot going for it. Big roomy house with every amenity you could ever want or need. 4 couples and 3 children with room to spare. Everyone had their own bathroom. 3 miles north of Fort Bragg. Beautiful view of the ocean in the distance. Huge deck with clean hot tub. However... there were ants EVERYWHERE. In the kitchen, all rooms, got on our clothes, cabinets, food, even in the refrigerator. Owner must know this because there was any spray and traps on site. This rental needs to be shut down for a week and fumigated. The other problem are the skunks living under the guest cottage. Very strong skunk smell. I had called in advance after seeing other reviews and was ASSURED this was mitigated “once and for all”. This was definitely not the case. We personally own a rental property and know what is expected by guests. It is not acceptable to continue to offer this property further without fixing these two issues, which in the big picture, would be the most prudent thing to do. I would otherwise highly recommend this property once these issues are truly fixed.

The fourth bedroom (in the separate house/building) had an extremely strong skunk odor. We tried to air the room out for a bit but it did not help. Thankfully part of our party had to cancel so we ended up not needing that room but had they not cancelled it would have been a major issue. Other than that the house and our stay was nice. It would have been an added bonus if the trail between the property and the park was maintained so that you did not have to walk the short distance on the main road - this is hard to do with dogs. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

It's confusing because the listing clearly says 5BR but then only in the fine print it explains that it's actually a 4BR + pull out couch.This is a pity, because an otherwise great stay was marred with an awkward situation where some folks in our group who were expecting a 5th bedroom with privacy had to sleep in the game room instead.
