Jughandle Coast Vacation Home

This home is conveniently located between Fort Bragg (5 minutes away) and the Village of Mendocino (10 minutes away). Located 1/4 mile from the beach, the home is also close to state parks (Jug Handle, Russian Gulch, Redwood Forest, Van Damm and McKerricher) which are especially great for hiking, biking and beach access.

The home is very private, set on two wooded acres. A grassy yard opens into a meadow surrounded by redwoods, pine and fir. The house features cathedral ceilings and warm wood floors throughout, a completely equipped kitchen, cable TV/VCR, CD player, telephone, toasty wood-stove with a glass window for dinners in firelight, and a large back&side deck with outdoor dining and a barbecue for grilling.

This Mendocino house has a king, a queen, and two trundle beds (each of these beds can sleep two singles or make into queen size beds). All firewood, linens, kitchen supplies, and bedding are provided for your convenience as well as a washer and dryer. Portable crib is available.

The house and deck are wheel chair accessible but the bathroom is not large enough to accommodate a standard wheel chair.

Beautiful property with a backyard that’s a dream for young explorers, well maintained, adequate kitchen, excellent wood burning stove. Not the fastest/best communication but wouldn’t stop us from booking again.

Perfect retreat for holidays

We had such a good time in this cozy place. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. Plenty of space in the backyard and patio around the house. It is located close to Ford Bragg, ocean and forrest : all what we wanted :)

Comfortable, quiet house near Mendocino

We enjoyed a relaxing stay here in the spacious living room for reading and relaxing, enjoying the back deck, and the beds were very comfortable. Also, very conveniently located to Mendocino and Ft. Bragg.

Beautiful getaway

Overnight Stay for Skunk Train

I loved how easy the reserving and check in was. The property is beautiful. We even had a deer walk by the back yard. Very clean and close to everything. Would definitely rent again!

Hosts are great and quick to respond to any questions or problems. We really enjoyed our stay in Ft Bragg/Mendocino. Glass beach was a highlight, seals sunbathing.

Nice getaway cabin

Thank you Matt and Cathy for sharing your cabin yet again. Cabin is clean, has everything needed for a family getaway. Vegetation around the cabin creates good privacy barrier. 3 min drive to a lovely jug handle beach. Great stay!

Nice and relaxing

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! It was the perfect getaway for our small family. The cabin had everything we needed—comfortable, well-equipped, and incredibly cozy. The main room was spacious and open, with an incredible fireplace that made our evenings so relaxing.The patio deck was a highlight, offering a peaceful spot to unwind and watch the many beautiful birds around. We loved the quiet and secluded setting, which made for a truly peaceful escape. Plus, it was just a quick drive to the beach, making it easy to enjoy both relaxation and adventure.We would love to come back again!

Lovely cabin home

Perfect Stay

What a great experience! We has so much fun exploring the property. The home was appointed quite well...everything from comfy beds, very functional kitchen and a washer/dryer which is always a plus on a beach vacation. We enjoyed the peace of being in the country but still 10 minutes from everything in town. Having a state beach less than a mile away was great! In the evenings we enjoyed a fire in the wood stove that had plenty of firewood waiting for us. Communication with the hosts was perfect. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us Matt and Cathy! Looking forward to our next visit.

Great location and cozy house

We really enjoyed our time at this house. We were gone most days to explore Mendocino and Fort Bragg but in the evenings hung out in the house playing card games and doing puzzles we brought with us. In the mornings the kids and I would explore the property, it was beautiful and quite large for us city dwellers.
