"We stayed one night before heading in to Algonquin Park the next morning. It was exactly what we needed - clean, affordable and in the right place. We could tell that there have been recent renovations and that some spots still need to be updated (older table and chairs), but the recent improvements/investments appear to be in all the right places - newer plumbing fixtures, newer beds and fresh linens - so it felt clean and safe. Great price! Breakfast was decent and had some good variety to allow for choices for our family with kids. I hope the recent investments pay off for them and they get to finish the remaining updates. Glad we stayed there, and we would stay there again."

"This was our second visit to the cottage, and it was ideal for our needs. We were two adults, two 7-year-olds, and one water crazy dog. For the kids, the big attractions were the swing, the sand, and the water, all the basics of cottage life without any glamour. The adults enjoyed the sunsets from the screened porch every night, and the ease of watching the kids outside from a lawn chair. Entry to the water is very gradual, and the girls enjoyed jumping off the paddle board a little ways out. We saw ducks, geese, a heron, gulls, and a solitary loon. Sylvia was very responsive to my questions. There were a few changes from our first visit that had me confused."

The space was incredibly clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown in the photos—with one exception: the view was EVEN BETTER in person!Louis was an amazing host—welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The chalet was equipped with everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves and clear instructions if needed which made the whole experience easy and comfortable.We especially loved getting out on the water and kayaking in such BEAUTIFUL surroundings...it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.Beautiful location, wonderful accommodations, and a fantastic host. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Louis’ chalet, and we would happily stay again! In fact, we have already rebooked for next year."
