The property was very clean (including the outside space), check-in was easy, and the host was readily available when we needed to communicate. The views were spectacular - we had several dolphin sightings! Most negatives were all hurricane related, completely out of the host's control.
It was wonderful for us but, a few things to be aware of for future guests: (1) The water is not for swimming off the beach and the beach itself is very limited in length. It's great for a very short walk and beach lounge chairs are available for sun bathing - if you want a swimming beach, you'll have to drive to something on Sanibel or in Fort Myers proper. (2) If you're looking to have food delivered, InstaCart and GrubHub deliver. However, DoorDash and most of the local businesses did not. That being said, you have the Marriott within easy walking distance (although we didn't find their food to be very good) and there is a fantastic restaurant (Bimini's Bait Shack) at the end of the hotel driveway (we walked and drove depending on the weather). (3) The second bedroom (with the two beds) is not really meant to sleep adults and the closet in that room is pretty difficult to use (blocked by the bed, doesn't fully slide open, and is full of beach items). Since it was just me and my mom, we only used the main bedroom closet and, if we had not been forced to evacuate because of Milton, I would probably have tried using the couch pullout instead of staying in the second bedroom the whole time.
