Construction

There was some sort of construction going on somewhere near my condo. Sounded like it was next door. Scraping, banging and drilling. All day long starting at 8 am.

Wonderful stay!

My adult daughters and I took a "girls trip" to Destin & stayed at The Palms for five days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while there. The condo was nicely furnished and comfortable. The pool was great (although a little cold). The bar/coffee shop was conveniently located and easily accessible from the pool. It was also centrally located in Destin and easy to get around. We will definitely stay again.

Oasis on the gulf

The Palms Resort is really beautiful, well kept for the most part and close to pretty much all the great places in Destin. Amazing pool, asthetically pleasing design and helpful, friendly staff. The unit was just right, with a beautiful gulf and pool view. Just a little oasis in the sky. Very much enjoyed myself there. Only suggestion I have is to upgrade the couch, as the springs were worn out. Other than that, great kitchen and showers, very comfortable bed, clean with no bad smells. A great place to make your home away from home. Highly recommend!

It was a nice stay. Only issue was the last night we had to deal with the above people blasting music all night until about 4/5 am. The Curtains wasn’t clean they was very Dirty. It was really crowned so we didn’t enjoy the Pool. Also, I didn’t like that none of the Staff had on a Mask. Anywho it’s a Must that you eat Breakfast at the Pancakery this place made me enjoy being in Destin.

Room was nice but so called resort was not so nice

I don’t usually review.. our specific room 2217 was nice big and clean.. 3 bedroom 2 bath... I was not impressed with the “resort” itself.. all this was a big run down hotel.. it appeared outdated .. carpets in the main hallway were so stained and soiled ..customer service was nice and they had a big work out room.. the “resort” is across the street from the ocean and you have to shuttle to beach which we knew before.. I read where people complained of walking from garage which is directly right next door was not a problem for us.. Overall, our room was clean but we will not be staying here again... I gave decent rating but it just wasn’t where I would want to vacation in Destin with so many better options ..

Great first time to Destin

The palms is beautiful! Our first time staying here. It's like an all inclusive resort minus the inclusive! Lol The pool is great! It's huge, even when "packed" it still wasnt too crowded. We did not walk to the beach. It is across a busy road, so we drove. The beach directly across from the hotel was very crowded and trashy. People left trash everywhere, nothing like I've ever seen.We drove down the road to Henderson state park and it was great and worth the $6! We were also there over labor day weekend, so that’s probably why it was so crowded. The balconies in our room were excellent as well. Our unit was comfortable for the 6 of us. The band each night was also a plus! There are plenty of good food choices around too, we had merlins pizza delievered and it was excellent! I would definitely stay here again!

The room was nice but the Tv in the living room area we could not get the Tv to change channel. Instructions were available to operate the remote but you could only turn the tv on or off and operate the volume. The tv’s in the bedroom worked just fine. The resort was very nice but I wish I had asked was this resort on the beach because we were looking to stay on the beach. So I don’t think we will stay here again. We would gave rather been on the beach.
