Wonderful spring break

Loved the hot tub and the proximity to the boardwalk across the street with great places to eat! The property managers were very responsive and the condo was very clean with plenty of room for our family. Also loved having our own grill!

Destin West Heron

The property was perfect for us. We love to cook so having our own grill was perfect. Our own hot tub was also perfect. The furniture was comfy. The amenities were great. My only recommendation is to add Tupperware in the kitchen. And add beach towels.

Our stay at Destin west was great, Having the option for the boat slips was a game changer. The customer service was 1st class and very responsive. I would definitely book again in the future!

Repeat Visitors

Our Family has been going to Destin West for several years now. We always stay in one of the Lanai units because it just fits us. L-05 had everything we needed in the condo kitchen was very nice. We used several appliances which made it very convenient. Check in and check out was super easy. Two things we always do besides enjoying the resort is to rent a pontoon boat and eat pizza from Merlins. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the hospitality.

Unit itself was nice, location was nice, just yards to the pool and lazy river. Kitchen was well stocked with necessary cooking stuff. Furniture was ok. Firg water dispenser worked but it didn’t return on its own so first time use resulted in water all over the floor. That actually turned out to be a good thing as that part of the floor got cleaned, the rest was so bad you couldn’t walk around barefoot. Stove top knob markings were gone or just barely readable, so using the stovetop was trail and error. Either the washer or the dryer (my guess) left what looked like rust stains on two new shirts and there were issues with the dryer that we were able to figure out (hope others can). The screen for the fan in the microwave was disgustingly greasy (cleaned it, no charge). TV remotes weren’t left with the proper TV’s (they are now). Minor bug issue. All the above except the floors we worked around and were ok with. However the unruly kids (lack of security) in the lazy river and running around banging on doors not so much. Biggest disappointment was lugging the wagon with beach chairs and umbrella to the beach (walk really wasn’t bad) and being told we couldn’t use the umbrella. For the money we paid, I would have expected to be provided free of charge the facility chairs and umbrella instead of having to paid 65/day. Oh and the traffic, didn’t expect that!
