Great Location Horrible Condo!

The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We have stayed at Destin West in the past and were extremely satisfied with both the property and the Condo. However, this specific condo was a complete disaster from the start. Upon arrival we attempted to open the curtains to see the view only to have the curtain rod and curtains come crashing down. Next was the kitchen, there was a puddle of water on the shelves in the refrigerator, the spray nozzle for the sink was completely missing and the digital read out on the microwave was nonexistent. Next the Master Bedroom, the knobs on the chest of drawers were missing forcing us to use a butter knife all week to get the drawers open, we offered to buy knobs but were told not too by the front desk as they would replace them which they never did during our stay. The headboard was only attached to the wall on one side, and the bedside tables are in dire need of replacement. None of the towel racks stayed on the wall when we tried to use them in both bathrooms. We were given two hand towels for three people for the week and were told by housekeeping that the owner should buy more! There was mildew around the master shower and the master bath toilet ran every ten minutes.Worst of all, were the floors, though they appeared to be clean, if you took three or four steps with bare feet the bottom of your feet were BLACK, not dirty but actually black forcing us to wear shoes all the time while indoors which is not the idea while on a beach vacation.Needless to say, what could have been a wonderful time was ruined by the condition of Condo P407. We definitely did not get what we paid for!All of this was reported to the front desk multiple times who offered a partial refund we have yet to see.
