"It was very nice, the personal hygiene products available for guests were "doce" ...a refreshing alternative to the stanard off-name brands in other hotels. "
"The proprietors were charming folks and resident Alaskans. They provided a wonderful breakfast, taking into account our dietary preferences. They also were interesting in that they housed firefighters who had been working to control wildfires threatening some of Alaska's beautiful natural areas."

Cottage in the hills with room for the whole family!
10/10 Excellent
"This cabin was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was beautifully appointed and had more than enough room for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Having three bathrooms all on one floor made everything so convenient, no juggling showers or waiting for space, which was a huge plus. The layout was spacious, comfortable, and made us feel right at home.Cleanliness is always a top priority for me when traveling, and this place exceeded expectations. The cabin was spotless from top to bottom, which gave us total peace of mind and let us relax right away.I also can’t say enough good things about Bret and Takenya. They were wonderful hosts! Always quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and so accommodating to our needs. Their hospitality really added to the experience. The location was great, too. It’s only about a 20-minute drive from downtown Fairbanks, so we were close to restaurants, shops, and anything we needed, yet far enough to enjoy the peace, quiet, and beautiful views surrounding the cabin. Waking up to that scenery every morning was such a treat.Overall, this cabin provided everything we could have asked for; space, comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful hosts. We had an incredible experience and I’ll definitely be looking to rent this place again when I visit my sister next year (if it’s available, of course!)."
"This was a great cabin to stay in for two weeks. . . Surrounded by deep woods, but also very accessible from main roadways. The view of those woods is beautiful. Cabin is well appointed for cooking, playing games and watching movies if the weather keeps you inside at times."
"This cabin was exactly as desribed! A little rustic, but had all the basics we needed. It was easy to find and access and it was out of fairbanks a little bit for a little extra quiet. We enjoyed our stay - and if you're looking for a no frills place to stay, you would enjoy it too!"

10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of space for our family. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets. The kitchen had plenty of supplies, even in the pantry. It was nice to have a full sized table for the family to sit at when we ate together. WiFi worked well. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Fairbanks."
"Overall Good, However a trash bag was left out back in the yard. 3 Trash barrels on property were left with trash still in them, about 1/2 full ea. There was a grill utensils left dirty at the grill. The hot tub was low on water, and water was fairly dirty. There were no coffee cups in the place. I had to go to Walmart and buy 4 and I donated them to the property when we left. ;) (white with blue ring on top) hope the person can get some use. There was a really cool modern record player and records on display, however the player was barely functioning. (Maybe it was display only)Listing wasn’t real clear that there was no A/C. Maybe that’s my fault for assuming but it was 85 degrees all week and first ever Fairbanks heat advisory.Owner and I had a little miscommunication checking in and out but probably a little fault of both sides.Yard needed mowed. (That’s not uncommon)All in all it was a good place. Just being critical and also this will help the owner make sure she has the best follow up cleaning crew. "
"Terrific stay. Cabin is beautiful and a large front yard. Large living room and kitchen area .comfortable beds very clean. We were all impressed. Could have used more outdoors chairs. Everything in listing and then some!"
"Had a great week at the gold mine property! Was up north for work with some coworkers and it was a great place to relax at the end of long days. Sit out on the patio and enjoy the peaceful neighborhood. "
