"This is an old school NH hotel. It’s not fancy but it’s clean and nostalgic. There is an active beaver pond on the premises and it is close to nearby attractions and hiking. Make sure to check whether your reservation is for the main building or across the street at the annex. The pool area looks updated and very nice (although we did not use it ). Dinner at the Thunderbird lounge was delicious with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pond and mountains. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was fresh, plentiful and reasonably priced. The observation tower is also worth the trek up the stairs for a $1 token sold near the gift shop. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again."

"This property was great for a large family gathering. unfortunately we lost power the morning after our check in and being in the mountains, not one of us was able to receive cell service. we had to go to town to access internet to notify management of the problem (due to weather, so no one's to blame here) and they kept in contact to let us know when the power returned. The property was not exactly as expected due to the wide angle photography used and was smaller in areas than shown. also, now that two of the bedrooms must be walked through in order to access the bathroom, so you will awaken those persons each time. also, one room has a glass door, so there is NO privacy in that bedroom as anyone can see in. with 10 adults we ran out of hot water if more than three showered in succession. Having said that, we loved the overall main room seating of the house and enjoyed our stay. management handled our small problems efficiently."

"Our group consisted of four adults and my 10 year-old grandson and we all loved this house! There was plenty of space. The three bedrooms are all large (love that the primary is on the first floor and has a king bed, a big closet and an attached bathroom). The dining room is a great size and the living room is very comfortable. The decor is lovely and appropriate for a log home in the woods and there are special homey touches everywhere.When renting a house cleanliness is the most important thing to me. When we arrived I was immediately impressed by how immaculate the entire place was and how it had every amenity you could possibly need in a home.The house sits on a quiet road and is surrounded by trees. Just a few minutes away you’ll find a grocery market, gas station, and restaurant, as well as other conveniences. The location was perfect and close to many of the places we visited over Columbus Day weekend.The views from the house are beautiful and we loved the big porch. The front part of the porch is covered and was the perfect place to hang out, especially when it rained in the evening. There are plenty of chairs and tables on the porch and it’s very comfortable.Nina was communicative and friendly and we would certainly love to stay here again if we visit the area in the future. Thank you, Nina!"
