You could tell the building was very old, yet our room had many modern touches. The breakfast served each morning in the other building was fantastic, with so many options. The location was perfect and even though we explored the whole town, we were never far from our room if we wanted to come back for a rest. "

"This was such a quant cute place to stay. The rooms were very cabin like, but nice and clean and updated. We loved the breakfast, it had an awesome spread and the service was great. Its right in the middle of town, so you can walk around and see all the things you would like. We would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was much larger than we expected for the small town of Herrieden, but it was a very nice stay. The breakfast was very nice and we appreciated the scrambled eggs! The room was comfortable, but could use air conditioning in the warmer months. We look forward to coming back!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We are a family of 4 and had a little section of the hotel, with 2 rooms and a corridor. We weren't expecting so much space. The view out of our room was over looking through valley and along the town walls. There was a large games room, where we played pool and air hockey. The breakfast was included and delicious! The staff were really helpful and lent us phone chargers, as we had lost our luggage at the airport. The hotel was right in the centre of town and parking was easy. Really loved our stay here. "

"Amazing, atmospheric place. Beautifully laid out to keep the feel of a fortified manor.
My only disappointment was the bed. My room had two singles pushed together, which is fairly normal in Germany. However these were two narrow wooden beds, with the frames higher than the mattress. Whilst the style was in keeping with the room, the actual sleeping space was limited, and I kept kicking the frame during the night. Mattress was comfortable though."

"Staff was fabulous! Room was large and comfortable. Old but updated farm hof from the 1930’s that is still owned by the same family. Breakfast was typical but ample and had a large variety. Coffee and eggs were on request and included. My wife ordered 2 soft boiled eggs. Both were perfectly cooke with rich orange yokes and a fabulous texture and taste. I give them an 11 on a 10 scale. "
