This place is perfect. Everything is so well laid out for the ultimate mountain cabin get away from the decor to the amenities and cleanliness. We enjoyed it so much so we booked it again for 1st week in November while I am attending a class in Franklin.

26th Anniversary Trip
We loved everything the home the surroundings and especially how amazing and peaceful everything was. Fabulous neighborhood and very wonderful neighbors that were so awesome made our stay even better.
This was our second time staying at the cabin. Such a peaceful place to relax and get away from it all. The cabin is furnished beautifully and the location is just off of the beaten path but still close to restaurants, shoes, and fantastic hiking trails! Highly recommend!
We will be back again. The listing matches what you see when you get here, and it is a beautiful space. Lots of butterflies in the middle of July here

Wonderful private cabin retreat
The entire property is beautiful, well-kept and inviting. But the large amount of screened-in porch space may be the best thing of all. The WiFi and TV was great, the beds were comfortable and everything just made us want to stay there—in spite of the fact that we had a wedding (and related activities) to attend.I would love to return again!

A cute little cabin in the woods!
My husband and I escaped to the mountains to see the beautiful fall foliage. This cabin was perfect - it had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable, and was perfectly appointed. The porches were a favorite spot for taking in the sights and sounds of nature. We will definitely be back!

Anniversary getaway
This cabin is the perfect romantic getaway. The screened in porches were the highlight of the home for me. The creek that runs behind the house was so peaceful and serene. The queen bed was very comfortable and we slept as well as if we were at home. We didn't cook a lot at the house, but the kitchen is fully equipped. We would gladly stay again if coming to the area.

Nice secluded cabin in the foothills of the Smokies. Well appointed and decorated. Excellent water pressure. Expansive screened porch. Very nice washer and dryer area. A/C that works very well when needed. 20 minute drive to Franklin; 30 to Highlands or Cashiers. Truly enjoyed our week-long stay.

Love this place
We have used Vacasa several times and each time it gets better. Wake Robin was absolutely beautiful. The wrap around porches were so nice to sit and eat breakfast and have dinner. Inside was so very comfortable. We are thinking about coming back in the fall. Outside was so peaceful. I can't think of a way to describe it except for Awesome

Fabulous cottage!
Porches, porches, porches! We love being outside and this home has plenty! Also, it’s quiet. No traffic noise! This is a very relaxing home and setting.
Vacasa does a fabulous job. They sent information in a timely manner, called to check on how our check in went and had the home prepared and clean for our arrival.
We plan to go back and stay longer.

NC gem !
This is our second time staying at wake robin which speaks for itself. We absolutely adore this place and all it has to offer. It is so serene and peaceful from the flowing stream and mini waterfalls to the bird watching. It’s hard to feel any of life’s stressors here. All of the outdoor lounging sections have a different unique feel to them. The beds are so comfortable after a long day of hiking and exploring all of Franklin and surrounding areas have to offer. We will definitely be back! Thanks wake robin.
We loved staying at Wake Robin.
The bottom line
• We LOVED it and will absolutely be back
The Good
• The Screen Porches. Lots of great places to sit. AWESOME
• The queen bed was comfortable
• Everything (almost) was well-labeled
• Beautiful on the mountain
• The fire pit
• The grill inside the outdoor structure
• Great communication with Vacasa
• The decorations – my wife loved them. They put a lot of attention to those details (as a guy, not as important to me)
• Instructions – all of them were really clear, before we arrived and once we got there
The Bad
• Honestly, the only negative was that I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the sauna, so I couldn’t use it
What a wonderful cabin! I booked it because of all of the screened in porches. Unfortunately for us, the temperature dropped into the 40s, but I managed to spend some time reading and listening to the stream behind the house on the porch.
We loved all of the details. The artwork and photos on the walls were wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great!
Our only problem was the WiFi and password were incorrect. We called guest services and were able to figure it out. Hope someone fixes that for the next person.
Overall, a wonderful stay at a perfect cabin! We will be back!
We very much enjoyed this location and its beautiful creek and knickknacks. Loved the screened in porches. perfect for bugs. Nice and peaceful. Would love to go back definitely recommend and no cell service which was amazing. We had a minimal issue with sugar ants and contacted the company right away. I would recommend the company put in place a how to use guide for stuff around the house. We could not utilize the sauna as there was no instructions and no instructions on what was going on with the outside heaters. I did contact the company and they did reply via email, but there was no information on how to work them. The heaters were not working outside due to the owner needing to update the outlets.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods. It was a great way to relax and unplug for a few days. The porches were our favorite areas whether it be in the morning with coffee and a Bible or in the evening with popcorn and a movie. ( A bed swing would make the area AMAZING!) The weather was perfect when we were there to enjoy sitting outside to hear the creek and the crickets. We were able to visit several nearby towns including Highlands, Cashiers, Asheville and Franklin. This area is very remote and the nearest town, Franklin, is 15-20 minutes away. Be sure you are comfortable driving on steep, curvy mountain roads and have good breaks! We were surprised at the small amount of bath linens when we arrived (no wash cloths/ one bathroom was missing a hand towel). Two days later we discovered a large load of towels and other bath linens in the dryer (it's in the basement) and it was still very damp. Another time when drying only a few towels it took two cycles to get them dry. The dryer may need servicing. Overall we did have an enjoyable time at the little cabin and would recommend it for those wishing to get away from the busyness of life for a few days.
This is a fairly new property on VRBO and we booked it with no reviews and after staying there one can tell that the owner has invested a good bit of thought and time into this property with hospitality and comfort in mind. The house is about a mile off of the main road about half way between Franklin and Lake Glenville. We felt very safe and secure and relaxed at the property. We stayed there for five nights and despite having some Internet issues early on we were able to conclude the trip on a good and connected note. After checking out we learned that the property will have a back-up wifi if the DSL internet is out in the future. Cell phone coverage is nonexistent in this area.
The property is better than what is photographed, which is a good thing. I would recommend to Vacasa, the hosting company during our stay and for many other properties in this area to step up their game. They could do better and should. House was very clean.
We cooked several meals at the house and had essentially everything we needed. It was a good time to decompress. Lots of named waterfalls in the area which is how we spent our week.
I mentioned the porches because that is why I booked it to begin with. Three separate comfortable sitting areas all screened in and within the sound of three gentle waterfalls behind the house.
Looking forward to return to area in the Fall and stay at Wake Robin, unless after reading this you decide to book it up before we solidify our reservation. Cheers

Perfect for a quiet getaway. You're a 20-30 minute drive to any conveniences but if you want an adorable cabin with everything you need, stay here. From the kitchen, to the decorations, to the outdoor cooking area, everything was well thought out. The best part are the covered and screen porches. I spent more time outside eating, reading, and working than inside.
The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The porch and outdoor spaces are excellent for enjoying the outdoors. We loved our stay and hope to return!
Thoroughly enjoyed the comfort, the amenities, relaxing atmosphere, timely communication. Overall space invited family gathering and space to be alone.
