This peaceful, secluded lodge sits on 5 private acres in a gated community just outside of Franklin, NC. With its sweeping 270-degree views year-round, you’ll enjoy stunning vistas from four decks, the hot tub, the sleeping swing, and every room of this upscale residence which sleeps up to 10 in 4 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The Snug/TV room can be converted into a fifth bedroom if needed. It has a queen sleeper sofa and ensuite bathroom.

The main level of the home and two of its decks are wheelchair accessible. A queen ensuite bedroom on the main/first floor has a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.

Absolutely DELIGHTFUL! Highly recommend.

We stayed with our friends five years ago at this delightful place and it was very nice to come back to it. Beautiful, as ever, great accommodations, and a delightful experience for a long weekend. Margaret as an excellent caring host wants to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Great Location and BEAUTIFUL Home and View

Beautiful home with ample space and gorgeous views, very private. Kitchen is well equipped. We had a wonderful stay one of the best places to stay in Franklin.

The home was absolutely stunning. It was great for a long weekend - close to town for groceries, but still totally private/isolated. We had a maintenance issue upon check-in and Margaret took care of it instantly! Would definitely stay again.

We would highly recommend staying at this house! We loved the views, and it was stunning inside and out! We went with four couples, and each couple had their own room and bathroom. It was perfect! Clear instructions and great communication with the host as well.

What an incredibly beautiful home and grounds! Beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything we needed. Breathtaking views of the mountains from 4 different comfortable porches perfect for gathering and sipping cocktails. Directions and check in were easy and well laid out. Beautiful Getaway

The scenery is fantastic with wonderful views all around the property. This home is decorated with much thought and great taste. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine for cooking better than any home I’ve vacationed in before. All the light switches are labeled which was very helpful. Beautiful vacation home.

Great mountain getaway

Stayed here with our family over spring break and had a great time. The property is immaculate, has great views, is perfect for families, and has very nice amenities including the hot tub and fire place, which we used every day. This side of the mountains is slower paced but that was perfect for us as there is still plenty to do and the area isn't overdeveloped with cheesy tourist stuff. We had a very minor issue with the door code at check in and the host was super responsive and very nice. 10/10 would recommend this place.

A Beautiful home in the clouds!

Buttercup Haven is a beautifully appointed home. Decor is high end and comfortable. Sparkling clean and attention to detail really made our family getaway special!! The views were breathtaking and ever changing. Margaret, our host, was easy to contact if we had any questions. Everything was perfect and comfortable. I highly recommend! I doesn't get any better!

Beautiful property and unbelievable views!

Buttercup Haven is a beautiful mountain home. The pictures do not do this property justice. The views are breathtaking and the home was extremely beautiful. The home is stocked with anything you could possibly need but the grocery store and restaurants are a short 10/15 minute drive away. We did not want to come home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

20th Annual Girls Getaway

Absolutely breathtaking property! Beautiful views of the mountains. Clean and tastefully decorated home. Margaret, the home owner, was easy to communicate with and was readily available if we needed anything. We all had a great time in the area, plenty to do. We chased waterfalls, went rafting, visited Biltmore and dined at some fantastic restaurants. We will be back! Buttercup Haven was the perfect home to stay in for our Girls Getaway!

You don't have the leave the property, unless you want to

My wife and I came to Buttercup to get away from being locked up in our house all day every day. It was great! The views in the morning and evening were really amazing. Everything was in great working order and we had no issues. Taking your recycling to the recycle place was a little weird, but it was so easy. No waiting and everyone was super nice.

Beautiful Buttercup

In spite of the worst weather we've seen in 20+ years of going to the area, we had a really enjoyable stay. Buttercup is a wonderful home, well built and beautifully decorated. The view is simply fantastic! The kitchen is very user-friendly and well supplied. It's also convenient amenities in Franklin and waterfalls and hiking in Highlands. A great combination of gorgeous views, quiet enjoyment and convenient activities. We hope to return soon and we recommend it to you without reservation.

Old friends

Two old friends were coming to the States from England for work and pleasure. They flew into Atlanta and we hosted them at Buttercup Haven from Tuesday to Friday. The drive up from Atlanta is easy, Franklin NC has plenty to do and Buttercup Haven lived up to expectations. The house is well situated to take in the wonderful views. The house was immaculate, well furnished, and had everything needed for cooking and enjoying the meals al fresco. There is lovely dining table as well but the weather was perfect for being out of doors and Buttercup Haven has beautiful and comfortable outdoor spaces. We could not have been happier with Buttercup Haven. Great fun, good times, we look forward to returning.

Beautiful Luxury Home

Buttercup Haven is one of the most beautiful homes we’ve ever rented. The location is convenient to everything but also very private. Once entering the Featherstone development we didn’t encounter another person or vehicle the entire week. The views are spectacular in all directions. The home is excellently constructed, spacious and comfortable. It is also very tastefully decorated and the furniture and appliances are of high quality. The property and grounds are well maintained. Margaret, the property owner, was easy to communicate with and very attentive. We will definitely stay here again.

Luxurious and spacious retreat

This was a truly wonderful home, with the owner's attention to every detail apparent. It was a luxurious vacation spot high atop a mountain. The gardens, furnishings, and linens were all superior. Each bedroom had its own well appointed bath. Watching the mist rise over the mountains in the mornings, and the sun set in the evenings was magical. Several comfortable porches, a self-cleaning hot tub and a large porch swing on the upper level were among the highlights. We would recommend this little slice of Heaven to those who know how to appreciate and care for special places.
