Pew with a View - Pet Friendly seafront cottage, secure shorefront garden
Pew with a view is 5 meters from the seashore and has fabulous views of the sea through floor to ceiling windows. This location is renowned for Aurora borealis and meteor showers and is peaceful and quiet. The cottage is a small fishermans cottage and ideally suited for 2 people , but it can sleep 4 in 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed. If traveling with lots of luggage you can store cases in the boathouse below.
There is a secure shore front garden and a wooden decking area in the garden with patio furniture located beneath it , which provides a spectacular location to relax and enjoy the view from the outside. A fire pit is also available should you wish to spend the night outside to enjoy the meteor showers or simply enjoy a glass of wine and breathe in the sea air. Pitullie is a small hamlet 2 miles from Fraserburgh. It's a quiet and beautiful location to relax, yet still within a easy commute to Fraserburgh town center. There are several local artists who live in the village and private craft workshops can be organized on request. There is a small convenience store with a post office about 5 minutes walk from the cottage in sandhaven. Great for last minute groceries or bottle of wine if you don't wish to travel into town A small fridge freezer is located in the cottage and an additional large fridge feeezer is located in the boathouse along with a dryer, washer and ironing facilities. If you are coming with sports equipment, the boathouse is the perfect location to store it for easy and quick access.
Pew with a view has a bus stop a few meters away which goes into Fraserburgh or Rosehearty. They run every 30 minutes, however, there is a coastal path to both places and it's about a 30 minute walk, either way, directly along the shoreline. Great for bike rides!
A totally unique seafront cottage with its own boat house. "Pew with a view" is situated in the hamlet of Pitullie in the North east coast of Scotland. The cottage is a renovated fisherman’s cottage dating back to the 1600's and sits 5 metres from the sea. It has direct access to a boat ramp which leads into a small harbour allowing easy access for boats, kayaks, Jet Skis and divers. This site is frequented by diving clubs around North East Scotland and is known as one of the best diving sites in the area. The Boat House situated under the cottage is ideal for storing fishing and water sport equipment. The cottage has floor to ceiling storm-proof windows and is a perfect spot to birdwatch or to enjoy the many dolphins, minky whales and seals which frequently pass by. The cottage has a large decking area and garden with a small natural burn running through it. There is a range of Garden furniture and a fire pit to enjoy the outdoors day or night. Aurora Borealis are common in this area.
I expect guests at pew with a view to respect this quiet and peaceful location and the local residents.

We loved it! Life is crazy right now and we just needed a place to rest and relax. This cottage did that for us! Thank you Susan for making us feel at home!
The cutest little space for a couple of days off. We are on a journey for a few weeks and this was a perfect little stay to just sit and watch the sea and the dolphins!
Beautiful little cottage with everything you need. The views are stunning and when not outside you spend all your time staring out the window. Lovely outdoor area . This place is a little bit of heaven and cant wait to visit again.
Cosy cottage with the most spectacular views right in front of your very eyes , right on the shoreline . Watched the tides ebb and flow , amazing sea life , trawlers and fishing boats , a few spectacular sunrises .
Fantastic 4 night break stunning views of the sea from the big picture windows

Cottage has everything you may need very clean
Will definitely return
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay a “Pew with a View”. The cottage is spotlessly clean, comfortable and the host has thought of everything to make your stay relaxed and carefree. This is a wee hidden haven that I will be telling my friends about - and definitely returning to again sometime.
My wife and I recently stayed at this lovely little cottage with amazing views out to sea.Fully equipped for all your self catering needs, the property was very clean, lovely comfortable bed, with a small but adequate bathroom. (Shower only)Outside has a lovely garden area, and spacious parking.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to family & friends. It was a long drive for the 2 of us, 8 hours away, but well worth it for the views alone.
Susan was always available, we could easily check-in due to the key placed for us.The place is identical as on the pics.It is quiet, lovely and we had all we need, including some sweets upon arrival....Would recommend anyone to go there, who is looking for a very special place - even our kids were overwhelmed of the sea and the orcas we could see.....Thanks for all, Susan!
Had an amazing stay what a fantastic place cottage so clean and comfortable and everything you needed it was so nice to just sit either in the house or out on the bench and just watch the abundance of sea birds its so peaceful and relaxing there which is what we needed after the year we have had few stresses over the pet sitter but didnt stop us enjoying it and the weather was lovely and sunny and dry it was a nice touch to have the acrylic pens to be able to decorate a stone and leave it in the garden.we did peterhead jail and fyvie castle in turiff both really good and best place in turiff to eat was the rustic grill food was amazing the knowes hotel and restaurant in macduff was great to we also had great fish and chips from fish and things.we wished we could stay longer but we will definitely be back
I can't tell you how Magnificent this place is. I could have spent my whole vacation at this location. I spent hours collecting sea glass and looking at the ocean. My husband enjoyed talking to Michael and Gibby.
This is the perfect place to unwind the beach is right next to the boat house. The views are amazing. I would highly recommend. The host Sue was very helpful & accomodating. I will defo be backThanks
This cottage has the perfect location and an even more perfect view. The house was so cozy and clean. I wish I had the words to explain just how beautiful this area is, and how perfectly placed this cottage is. The owner was so kind and even made sure we knew dolphins were playing in the North Sea to ensure we didn’t miss seeing them.
My wife and I loved this cozy home. We were right on the water with beautiful views of the sea from the picture window. At one point we had a gorgeous double rainbow!
There was a market just down the street and it was just a short drive to Fraserburg. We also followed Susan's recommendation and ate at The Davron in Rosehearty less than 5 minutes away for a wonderful meal.
We had a lovely stay. Thanks, Susan.
Beautiful location. Lovely welcome gestures which in indeed did make us feel very welcome. Luxurious wee cottage. Very comfy bed... batteries recharged.
Absolutely not a criticism , perhaps a grab rail at the bureau would help as for us less mobile. the steps between living area and kitchen are a little bit challenging, don't look like it to able bodied but tricky without help for anyone less able.
Recommended.
Absolutely beautiful cottage and location, so quiet and peaceful which was perfect for us and our dogs. There was everything we needed in the property. The views are spectacular and loved watching the ever changing sky and looking out to sea.
