The house was in a good location, but the bathrooms are not in the bedrooms and one is quite far away.

I loved the charm of the house! We didn’t get any hot water out of the shower or faucets but idk if that was just a fluke or not, and we only stayed one night so it wasn’t a big deal. Check in and check out process was easy.

Close to the Main Street, cute house with some expected quirks. The water heater stopped working during our visit and management immediately arranged to have it repaired.

Location was spot on and loved that both bedrooms had king beds. It was hard to get past the musty smell & bathroom door that wouldn’t close.

This house is roomy and the antique decor is beautiful. The house was perfect for two couples. We wine tasted within a 10 minute drive and walked to the National Museum of the Pacific War. It was nice to come back and relax and make our own food.

Very walkable to Main St. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. The many antiques were stunning. Wish we had better instructions on how to leave the house when we checked out. Didn’t know whether to strip beds, where to put dirty laundry, whether to put dirty dishes in dishwasher or just wash them???

House is an odd layout but great for two couples. Well equipped and breakfast was included which was great. Plenty of towels. Only small complaints were that both bedrooms need more window dressings, especially the front bedroom that has open windows to main street and the bathroom near the basement stairs need more curtains over door for privacy.

Walking distance to Main St! I loved staying in this house. The property is in great conditions considering that it has not been renovated, which is the best part of staying here (some renovations in the bathrooms/kitchen). It was very clean, bed and bedding were perfect, and it had crispy clean white towels. I loved the smell of the old wood floors. The main bedroom gets a lot of day light, which I love, but it might not be for everyone.

The kitchen was great to cook my dishes that I took to Thanksgiving dinner. Love the big farm sink! Beds were comfortable. Couldn’t enjoy the soaking tub; drain plug wouldn’t work. Only one channel on the TV; customer service was absolutely no help. Not worth the price paid.

Super cute house, great location, very comfortable but…WiFi was terrible. We also had a broken shower in one of the two bathrooms. No washer/dryer/ironing board/iron. No trash bags and outdoor trash can was overflowing. Living room furniture is definitely’lived in’.

We appreciated the host allowing us to book for one night at the Travis house. THe house was easy to find, and had ample parking. We had trouble finding which door had the button combination to get into the house, but found the correct one after some searching. Recommend letting folks know that entry is through the back door by the garage. Also, had a bit of a problem connecting to wifi as the password they texted us had a typo in it. The guest manager answered our text very quikly and figured out what was wrong and gave us correct password.THe House is very comfortable though a little run down as it has much of the original worn interiors that have not been updated. Built ins and antique furniture were beautiful.King size beds were comfy with plenty of pillows (which I like) and nice linens. AC worked well as it was a warm day and ceiling fans in bedrooms were most appreciated. I was nervous walking around on the bare wood floors in bare feet or socks as they are old and original and had many nails in them. I would suggest finishing this floor better or replacing with LVT or new wood if possible. Comfy living room area with a big TV and a snuggly worn leather couch duo. A few games available but could use a few more. Also, tissue boxes would be appreciated in the bathrooms as well as powdered or single coffee creamers. Didn't have coffee in morning since there was no creamers! Nice comfortable stay for the one night. Thank you.

The pics that are posted paint a much brighter picture than we walked into! Plus pics cannot share the smell that hit you in the face. We rented for 3 nights and only stayed the first night as 3 of the 4 of us woke up sick. One of us has a terminal lung issue and had we spent another minute there would have probably gone to ER. One woke up with a severe headache and I am asthmatic and could not have stayed any longer! We informed them, they did not offer to relocate us and told us that while they could not give us any credit that they noticed we bought the insurance and gave us the number to contact. (I guess because the reason for leaving was medical.) The house is in dire need of deep cleaning, and lots of repair work and painting. The outside looks adorable… but look a little closer and you can just tell it’s been very neglected! Prior to going we checked some reviews and they were mostly positive and the pics look so cozy and sweet. When someone had mentioned a smell the rental people replied that they would address that… guess what… they must not have gotten around to it! We’ve rented several darling places in our favorite Texas town and thought this would be another wonderful memory in Bluebonnet country… it wasn’t! The house is for sale so hopefully someone will buy it and give it the attention it needs!
