Beach House at Surfside, TX

I must say a word about our VRBO host, Chandri, who promptly answered any questions and was very patient in explaining her answers. The beach house was exactly as advertised, was completely stocked with linens and kitchenware, and everything worked to perfection. It was the pleasure of me and my guests to deal with VRBO.

This property is great. The kids ( teens) loved the mini putt-putt and swings underneath on the ground floor almost as much as the beach. They enjoyed the board games you had there and connect 4 and cornhole. Loved having the private cross over to o the beach and the kitchen is very well equiped with pot, pans and utensils for cooking.Only issue we had to call in the owner for was the lock box. There is one downstairs which apparently is just for the maintenance worker and it wouldnt open with our code. It's the lock box on the upper deck that had the key for the front door. Owner promised to put a small sign downstairs directing future guests to the proper lockbox upstairs to avoid confusion.

We had a lovely stay here. The house is really great - so much space and well appointed! And right on the beach! Can’t beat that. The host was extremely gracious and we had the best time. Would highly recommend this rental for large family groups!

This was a great property. There were 11 of us on a family vacation. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. Kids toys, games and puzzles for adults. Everything you need in the kitchen. The outdoor area was a hit as well and right on the beach.. we couldn’t have asked for a better place.

Lovely home !

House was cleaned and walking distance from the beach. Kitchen is fully equipped with lots of plates , cups, coffee mugs , pots, pans and utensils . House is equipped with everything you need !

Great Property, but ...

The recent renovation makes this property very desirable. There are a couple of things I would repair and change as follows:1) The nosing is loose on the top stair rung. This is an accident waiting to happen.2) The washing machine is much too small for a house of this size. In fact, the housekeeping staff could not get all the towels washed onsite before our check-in time. So, they were forced to take most of the towels offsite to wash and returned them to us later in the evening.3) The latch on the gate leaving the front porch to the walkway is broken.4) The walkway to the beach needs some work.5) The boards that provide shade on the upper porch are broken and missing. In fact, some of the broken boards are laying on top of the shade structure for the lower porch and could get blown onto people below.
