Piedmont lake hunting and fishing cabin
Small lake house off of marina road by Piedmont Lake, Ohio available for weekly or weekend rental. The cabin is on a quiet gravel road just off of the main road to the marina, and once in the yard it’s as though you are in a world of your own.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms(2 twins each), full kitchen, large living area with 2 pull out couches and a futon, and 1 bathroom. The large lot has a pavilion, charcoal grill, and spot for a camp fire. Just a short 1/4 mile drive to the boat ramp, or just cross the street to public hunting land with miles of hiking available.
Close enough to clendening, salt fork, and tappan lake to stay here; and trailer your boat to a different lake each day. Piedmont has great fishing, and the marina rents pontoon boats, fishing boats, and kayaks. With a 10hp limit piedmont is enjoyable on a kayak, paddle board or, canoe since you don’t have to worry about large wakes. There is a few who bring out their sail boats, but it isn’t for beginners due to all the coves and turns changing wind directions.
The fishing at piedmont is some of the best in the state, and holds the Musky record still. I enjoy cat fishing the most, and the kids love catching bluegill and saugeye. With fishing as good as it is, often you see the bald eagles and osprey doing the same.
Please note that this is a fishing/hunting cabin and as such it does have some minor issues. It is by no means a five star resort, so please plan accordingly. The cabin does operate off of a well, so water conservation is often required. There is a well manager system that displays a light if water is getting low, so guests can conserve accordingly. While we do have plans for remodeling in the future, it is currently useable but dated. Read Less

Beautiful, quiet location. Close to the marina. Clean camp for a couple of brothers who wanted to fish and enjoy the beautiful area. Our wives may not have liked it but we did.
Size was great for the two of us parking was easy 25 ft from the door and the cottage was very clean. Not a bad walk to downtown 12 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
My son and I stayed 2 nights with our 2 well-mannered dogs to rent a pontoon boat at the nearby marina for fishing. The cabin is not fancy and does not furnish linens, but had everything we needed, was surprisingly roomy, and comfortable. It met or exceeded my expectations.
Great size place ,very secluded for time of the year. Parking is a lil tight for two trucks two boats bùt some great neighbors let us park one rig up the hill only down fall to any of it was no trash bags for the trash can ! Other then that they brought in a extra DVD player cause they said the other di t work ! We fish eat and sleep there dont really hang out so wasnt a issue at all but will use it again if available plus our friends booked there other place which is really nice two !
Very clean. There was three of us staying there with two bass boats. We had room for both. This little cabin served a very useful purpose for us especially for the price. Remember it's a Sportsman's cabin.
The place is a dump I tryed to get ahold of the manager 3 or 4 times the first night never returned a message or call this place should not be rented out and I have pictures

A rustic property with mice and filth.
Just the worse place you could stay. I should been paid to stay there. Mice poop in all the drawers. Completely disgusting. I don't live giving bad reviews, but I would not recommend this place to a hobo.
This rental is an old school fishing/hunting cabin that I personally would have been happy to own at a different time of my life- reminds me of "camps" out a creek where I grew up except those places were more primitive. Can tell the owner has been making small upgrades over time and it was appreciated that the cost was reasonable. Stayed during an extremely hot period so, other than the lake, didn't spend time outside, but side yard with the pavilion is nice. PS> 11 year old grandson liked the place

conveniently located hunting cabin
As hunting cabins go, this one is decent. It's biggest quirk is that the entire cabin seems to be leaning downhill - all the floors will roll a ball in one direction.
