"One of the worst travel experiences we've ever had - completely unprofessional and disrespectful. By looking at other people's reviews, it appears that we are not the only travelers to have our booking cancelled by Hotel Vacanceole without notice. Concerned by an email we received, we called our travel agent twice to confirm that our booking was still valid - and were reassured both times that the Hotel said the room was still available. "Honestly, one of the worst places I have stayed in a while. Check-in was good and staff were helpful. However, from there it deteriorated quickly. The room was dated and very basic. No grill, no toaster, coffee machine was there but there was moldy coffee left in it. Walls had been repaired in a really poor way in places and the equipment was old and not clean. Worst thing about it was the fact that the place had clearly not been cleaned properly. It was really dirty. There was supposed to be...

"Clean and tidy hotel "

"Pas de lumière dans les toilettes,on a demandé de faire le nécessaire,rien,pas d'information sur le sauna qui est hors service,piscine froide ,"

"Appartments, notice this since there are no daily cleaning (which is fine by me) and you might need your own towels if travelling more than 2 people, likewise bring your own toiletpaper. We did not buy breakfast, not sure if this is possible, but there is a supermarket 600meter from the appartment and you can use the kitchen to do your own breakfast (or meals in general)"

"The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."

"We were returning to Les Elmes after a number of years for a short late summer holiday. It didn't disappoint, with a well appointed, quiet comfortable room. We enjoyed great food in La Littorine restaurant and Banyuls Sur Mer is a short walk away. Perpignan is also only 30 minutes by train or 40 minutes by car. "

"It's a fabulous location, only a few blocks (short walk) from the train station and literally steps (a block?) off the marina, in the middle of everything. It's not a luxury hotel, a bit spartan, but not shady or shabby. Unless you're specifically looking for a luxury place or a pool and bar and spa, etc., I definitely recommend staying here for the location and value."

Hôtel le Catalan Restaurant Le Miradou

"We really enjoyed our stay the Hotel le Catalan. It is a beautiful hotel up on a hill with magnificent views of the lovely town and sea. The front desk employee Valerie was delightful and very helpful. She was very patient with my high school level French so I got to practice it. The rooms with sea views are spectacular. The restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast. It's also a 15 minute walk down some small streets and stairs to the beautiful town center. All in all a delightful stay."
