French Quarter Hotel Guide - Business Hotels in French Quarter, New Orleans

"First, the staff here are exceptionally friendly and warm. From the young lady that helped with my rather stressing check in all the way to the doorman and other staff. However, the hotel is in dire need of updating their systems to operate with the trends of the industry. The building need many repairs and the carpets are absolutely filthy, disgustingly filthy. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms given the rest of the hotel is so dirty, but the rooms and the bathroom I had was very very clean. The furniture was pretty worn out and had some staining so I did not use the living area, but the bedroom and bathroom were top notch and felt like a different hotel. Unfortunately, I did not get much sleep as the air conditioning was full blast and it was too cold to enjoy a shower or even sleep at night. I turned the heat on 90 and it was still blowing freezing cold air. I tried to turn it off and it would not shut down and the air was continuous throughout the night. I ended up paying an Uber to take me to the gym to shower and I had to purchase a blanket in order to try to find comfort from the bone chilling cold. There is no smoking area on the property and having mobility issues it was not ideal to have to exit the property and walk down to stand on the street to smoke especially at night. The staff was the highlight of this location. The food at the restaurant is subpar and that is being nice wasted over $60 and couldn't eat it too greasy and tasted like old microwav"

"Great location and very friendly staff. Location is great and the vibe is classy but the rooms are old and pretty dated. Nothing that will interfere with a great time, however. Remember you’re in the heart of the French Quarter, so expect the noise level to be high and ongoing until the wee hours. Spring is a great time to visit before the temperatures and prices become unbearable. Would stay here again. "

"They need thicker bed spreads. Sleeping in sleets makes it hard to sleep comfortably and on a hard mattress. Other than that, great staff, excellent location, and clean room."

" I don't think there is enough room for me to tell everyone about what a great experience it was staying at the St. Marie. Besides the fact that it is a historical building that once was a military hospital during the Civil war it also served as an orphanage. The building is already beautiful. The courtyard with the pool is refreshing and well maintained. Everything was absolutely wonderful!!! The front desk staff Betsy and Jason were the best! The breakfast sandwich meal from their coffee shop was phenomenal and the location is perfect. The deluxe room king bed was very comfy and I loved that it had a Keurig machine and the hidden minifridge was very useful. I plan on getting one with a balcony next time:) I am already working on planning my next trip and staying with them again and this time I'm bringing my son with me as there are many things you can do walking distance for families. "The staff was very accommodating, we arrived prior to check in time and was able to park our car in the secure garage. Coffee, teas and water available in the ADORABLE court yard. The bar had a great vibe. Decent location, close walk to all the things. The lobby bathroom was not that clean and smelled terrible!"

"Excellent hotel staff was wonderful except there was one morning female staff was not pleasant or helpful at all. Shae the maintenance gentleman was very good had an issue with a clock radio and he was very helpful and friendly"
