"The person that works check in desk went above and beyond for us every one that worked there was very nice and friendly would definitely stay there agin loved all the new upgrade from the last time we stayed the room was much more welcoming and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great as wel. Can not report anything bad about the place"

"Spent a couple of nights in St. Ignace. Breakwater was excellent - 2 minutes away from the ferry to Mackinaw Island and a shuttle to get you there for a day trip. Breakfast was great as was the restaurant for dinner. Rooms were spacious, clean with a balcony and great views of the lake and the island. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend."

"We had an awesome time. Loved the view of the lake and that they have both an indoor and outdoor pools and hut tubs. We also loved the breakfast selection available. We are doing the Lake Michigan circle tour, and this is the best hotel we have stayed at along the stretch."

"Staff are available by phone and always call you back if they are on phone. Room 15 had a great shower. Room 22 has large frig. Beds very comfy. No breakfast but restaurants close by. Pet friendly at 30 dollars per stay."

"We’ve stayed here before and overall it’s a good value, in comparison to other hotels. Room is a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but clean. Bathroom fan only/always turns on with the light and was very loud and annoying. No ‘entryway’ light as you enter into the room. Swimming pool and hot tub has not been in working order our last 2 stays. Breakfast was very sub par, with hot food only consisting of burnt eggs, hard biscuits and nearly empty gravy."
