"This is difficult to write as so much of the experience was remarkable. The facilities (rooms, or dome), are newly built and immaculate. The bed is comfortable. There is no running water except at the bathhouse which was a hike from our cabin, the trails are well lit but crushed rough gravel so not great with a walker. There are no rails on the stairs so I would have to say it is not accessible. Parking is far from the cabins, but wagons are provided. For someone younger (we are both around 80) this would totally be great."

"This was the perfect home-base for our trip to Acadia. The view over the water as the sun came up each morning was the true highlight, but we also appreciated the quiet, clean & cozy cottage and the lovely garden setting. There were amenities close by in Blue Hill - grocery, Walgreens, and some restaurants, and Bar Harbor was about an hour drive. Perfect for our stay, and we would definitely recommend it!"

"Sommer was a wonderful host The house is new and clean and comfortable. It is a quiet location and very relaxing. Loved the coffee bar. What a nice idea. The outside is just as nice. All the beautiful plants and penned sheep across the street made it so picturesque. The location was great for us to take the ferry over to Isle Au Haut for a day of hiking with our dogs. We drove over an hour to get to the other parts of Acadia NP. We would definitely stay here again to check out the lovely areas of Sedgwick, Blue Hill and Deer Isles. Thank you for making our stay very welcoming."

Hidden Gem Cottage' Near Blue Hill Peninsula

"Photos are misleading. The cottage is attached to a house. The photos of the external setting show a place that appears to stand-alone. While we did not see and rarely heard the owners of the house (hosts), we had expected a different (more private) setting. The host did not provide any written instructions about how to use the unique refrigerator / freezer (two drawers in the kitchen cabinet) or the microwave or other “stuff” in the house. On the plus side: Bed was very comfortable, rooms large with high ceilings, large bathroom with shower, and well-equipped kitchen. We appreciated the location, near a land trust (the one hundred acre woods) and a blueberry barren, and the relatively uncrowded area even at the height of tourist season."
