Secluded Rustic Cabin in the Woods with Distant Water View
10/10 Excellent
"This is a property that we rent annually. The cabin is impeccable. Every item you could need is there, if you need anything the hosts, David and Carolyn are but a short walk down the road. The view is always perfect. If you are looking for a Maine oasis this is it. It is located near a meadow of ferns and a very short walk to the ocean with a picturesque view that should be on a magazine cover."
Secluded house just minutes away from Deer Isle/Stonington villages and beaches!
10/10 Excellent
"Awesome house! We had a great stay. The kids absolutely loved the basketball court, and the back porch was so peaceful, the perfect place to relax. Everything was spotless. We also really appreciated that there were plenty of towels, which is a huge plus when you have kids who somehow think a towel can only be used once! We’d definitely stay here again!"
"Everything was perfect....you could not ask for a better set of folks running this place..Trisha and daughter Sarah were the best. Ty ty ty we will see you next summer"
"This was a great home base for us. The town is so picturesque and the people are very friendly. The prices here are a fraction of what you’d pay in Bar Harbor and it’s an easy drive to the park - about an hour - from here. They have great lobster rolls and other dishes, too!"
New Secluded Deer Isle Cottage With Island Views - Quiet Woodland Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"I’m coming back and for a longer stay! Perfect cottage in a stunningly beautiful place. Carolyn, David and Daisy were warm and welcoming hosts. We had everything we needed and more for a restorative trip."
Waterfront Home with Expansive 50-Foot Deck and Stunning Water Views
10/10 Excellent
"On arrival at Southeast Harbor, we were wowed by the stunning views of the water and islands from our cottage in the trees. The cottage was clean and hosts had provided space in kitchen cabinets for us to store our groceries. We enjoyed breakfasts/dinners on the lovely deck and the gas fireplace on chilly mornings. The hosts provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen with Keurig and standard coffee options, coffee bean grinder, nice cookware, storage containers, and all the kitchen gadgets needed for eating in. Nice bedding and mattresses enabled us to get a restful night of sleep. Nice decor with unique artwork framed on the walls. We were three adults--including my husband and sister. We hiked the trails at Edgar Tennis Preserve, Crockett Cove Woods Preserve, Barred Island Trail, visited Sandy Beach (lovely path on the left side of beach to an overlook), Gorgeous ferns lined mossy trails and shoreline overlooks of the islands and harbors. Rented e-bikes in Winter Harbor and biked Schoodic Point Loop Road and carriage trails there. Yummy lunch after at Bunker's Seafood waterfront restaurant (great haddock sandwich!). Ate at The Lobster Lady in Sedgewick for the best lobster roll ever. Enjoyed the fish tacos at 27 Fathoms, did eat-in and take out at Stonecutters Kitchen. Stonington is a cute village town. Rode the ferry on a very foggy day over to Isle of Haut (45 minutes each way). Fantastic vacation!!!!"
"Just a note to future users, the address on the VRBO site is incorrect. It should say 67 Cat Cove Rd. Stonington, ME. It is an ideal location, so serene and tranquil."
