"This was our first ryokan experience. The service was incredible throughout - very easy to communicate with the hotel team, who were very responsive and helpful. The staff were all super welcoming throughout our stay. The interior is beautiful, and the gardens are stunning. Our room was large, bright and calming, with a private bath. The rooftop onsen is amazing and has an uninterrupted view of mt fuji. Private dining room with kaiseki-ryori tea ceremony, wine bar, and an unbelievable taiko drum performance in the evening from the staff house band. Only complaint is that there was a bit of mould staining around the bathroom, but not sure if this can be helped given the amount of hot water that is used in the bath area. It also had a little bit of an odd smell, but nothing terrible. Would definitely come back and would want to stay longer (one night went by too quick). Good value considering everything that you get for the price."

"The Staff is awesome! They go above and beyond before your arrival if you have questions and are traveling to Japan for the first time. The service is excellent. Fujiyama Terrace food is delicious. The Thomas the train rooms was so much fun. We especially loved the free shuttle bus to many local nearby sites and stations - this was a pleasant surprise. Convenience to the fujiQ bus and fujiQ amusement park made this trip so easy. And, waking up to the view of mt. Fuji is the best part. Thank you! "

"Loved our stay here absolutely beautiful property, rooms and facilities. The free happy hour was INSAN and the free breakfast buffet was perfect with some western options. Only con is the pillows aren’t the best and there’s a 5 minutes giant hill up to the property but overall a central location, 15 min walk into town. "

"The experience of an Onsen was great and the view of Fuji San has been memorable. We loved the varied breakfast and the option just to receive a set of clean towels everyday was veruy convient. The goods available in front of the Lift and at the Onsen were great. "

"My partner and I had an amazing time staying in the room with the private onsen and Fuji view. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and the breakfast was daunting at first but delicious. We felt looked after at all times. Some places in the hotel were a bit dusty, but not enough that it was off putting in any way. We would both gladly stay there again."

"The hotel is very quiet. The hotel is old but they keep it very clean. The best part is that we get to see Mount Fuji in our room and from the outdoor onsen. There are 1 cold water tank and 4 types of onsen for women, 2 outdoor, 2 indoor. The onsen is very nice. Staff members are very friendly. One of them can speak Cantonese. This hotel is recommended. I definitely will book this hotel next time when I come back to Fujikawaguchiko."
