"Great experience, great room, great host, great location.
I have to say, this is one of the best guest facilities my wife and I have ever stayed at. Will definitely stay here the next trip to Detriot. "

"The room I booked online wasn’t available. The room I received was ok tho it had a pull out couch bed which was fine. The booking on Expedia had a breakfast buffet which you could add for an extra price per person. The hotel didn’t have a buffet but they offered vouchers for our breakfast since we paid extra. So I’ll call the hotel from now on to cross reference. "
"This was the best place I've ever stayed in Detroit. It was so close to everything, so clean, and so spacious. I would recommend it a thousand times. "
"This place NO MATTER WHAT is going on, on the outside world..let me down. In fact and i will surely never especially now a days say that about too many properties in the Downtown Detroit vicinity and inner/outer suburbian areas such as..Troy, Southfield Farmington..just a lot of hype with not much else. The Shinola prides themselves on a one of a kind, unique, personalized experience whether yolur 1st or 5th time. Each time is a new experience, adventure scenery. All of the bedding/beds is PLUSH! If you have stuff things too do, hit the bed last thing bc you WILL MELT right into it. Honestly could rant and rave about this entire place however, seeing is believing. If you are looking for peaceful, blackout, hot showers, in room dining and just some good ole me time heres your place. You want a terrace balcony room with a mini bar anc in the heart of the party, this is a classy, boutique hotel. No self parking. Valet only.Within walking distance of anything your heart fancies!! "
