The 10 minute walk to Darwin Street was in a poor section, an old mattress lying about. Breakfast was good. The reception area was poor. I have photos. Worth about $40 a night not the $110 l prepaid and could not cancel reservation "

"Fraud hotel. Tried to contact before checkin however number is not operational and there is no email. Hotels.com wasn't able to contact them either, yet they still charged my card. Going through a dispute with card company now. Avoid at all costs"

Owner told me it would cool down and to let her know if I didn't need it "cold like hers (friend's room) I would be fine but I could switch it in the morning. "The accommodations were worth the price, and the hotel service was good. But pass on the restaurant in the evening. It is not where you want to be waiting for food after trekking all day. The staff is nice, is very nice, but insufficient, and I waited 90 minutes for my simple meal on the terrace. Also, there is major construction next door with heavy equipment on the adjacent wall — not relaxing. I suspect this work will be done by summer, 2026. "

"The room was spotless. Warm water showers!!! Reception desk staff, Carlos, was very friendly and helpful. Explained and helped with booking excursion and getting around the village. The restaurant accross the street had good breakfast and dinner and the bakery, also just accross the street, sold tasty baked goods. Highly recommend this hotel."
