Our 2nd story home is sure to delight you. Think girl's getaway, men's golf trip or family staycation! Enter our cozy enclosed staircase off of Commerce Street and head upstairs to enjoy our completely renovated, modern suite.

Our suite features high, restored tin ceilings throughout our. You'll enter into a spacious kitchen featuring NEW everything - lighting, appliances, countertops. You will love creating meals and conversing in this beautiful space. You'll have access to a Hamilton Beach Programmable 7 qt Crockpot, a Hamilton BeachParty Dipper Crockpot, Blender and hand mixer in addition to the dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, etc. Step off into the living room and check out the view of bustling Commerce St. Sit and relax in front of the 42" electric fireplace and 55" Sambung Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV. It will be a favorite hang out spot for sure! Our bedrooms are at each end of the home affording you the most privacy. Lovely apartment. Perfect location to everything downtown Galena. Parking was really tough in that area, so be prepared. This apartment comes with an assigned spot not too far from the door. That was nice. Would definitely recommend.

Galena Get-A-Way 2024

Perfect location for traversing the Main Street places, restaurants; etc. The size and design of this property was lovely for two couples. Nothing was missing for us. We were last in Galena is the late '90s and it's even better than I remember! We'd definitely recommending this location.

Spotless, perfect location and a great parking spot, which was helpful because parking is hard to come by. The place had the cutest decor and comfortable beds. Everything you could think of was provided! Even came with a speaker and games for a perfect night in. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Perfect in every way

I came here with my 82 year old mother (who managed the long entrance stairs just fine) and we both thoroughly loved this property. Had every imagineable logical convenience, and all beautifully remodeled in a fascinating old building. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the unit, which really was great. This was the cleanest VRBO or other property rental I have ever stayed in. Absolutely immaculate. High quality linens and bedding. The owners were very easy to get in touch with when I had a question. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Girl's Getaway

We loved everything about our stay at the Gazette Suites. The property was beautiful, immaculate and a great location. The steps were a bit challenging for my 86 year old mom, but overall ended up being fine. The only negative (and it is minor) was the television channels were limited.

Awesome trip - LOVED the condo; great proximity to shopping, restaurants, bars, the trolley, Grant's home, etc. Will definitely come back. Would like to see salt & pepper at the condo - tried to get some at the spice store and it was $30!

Sister birthday weekend

4 sisters took sister in law for birthday. Couldnt get away last year for her 50th so it was a 50+1 celebration. We shopped, and ate and drank all weekend. Great accommodations. Fun times

We absolutely loved this place. Well appointed, clean, modern. Quiet! Yet in the center of everything. We were able to walk to nearly everything we wanted to see and do. Tons of restaurants to choose from. We booked for 2 nights. Wish we had planned for 3.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a good time. We needed to call for instructions and they were so helpful. So close to all eating places and shopping. If you have trouble with stairs this place is not for you but it was great for our sister trip.

Amazing!

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the place. It has a fully stocked kitchen (crock pot, toaster, Keurig, coffee maker, baking pans) Very tastefully decorated. It felt homey. The proximity to Main St with all the shops and restaurants was very convenient. No need to drive, unless we went to explore. Only cons: steep stairs to get up to the apartment. The bedroom with the on-suite doesn’t have a window We would stay here again! 5⭐️ all around

Fabulous place!

First off, you can’t beat the location and dedicated parking space! The suite was the perfect size for 4-5 people! Even though there is not a dining table the island had plenty of room for us to spread out to use for our various needs. The beds were so comfortable!!! All of us have different bed preferences but everyone was so happy with how well we slept in them! There were enough side tables for everyone to use. We’ve stayed at our share of vrbos and it was so nice to have toilet paper and papers towels stocked. The communication with the Mgr was easy and fast response. The only minor thing we could suggest is a set of coasters for our drinks as we did not want to ruin the side tables or night stands. Oh, and yes you will need to go up steps to the suite but there are steps everywhere in Galena! We agree we would stay here again for sure!!
