This is a beautiful historic home. We were an extended family of seven (cousins from three locations). The host made sure we were comfortable having all the amenities needed, even dropping off additional towels for our group. This place met all our needs perfectly. A large kitchen and a large dining room to gather to eat and play games. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be back as this will be our “go-to” place when coming to Gallipolis.
All of the above!!House wasn't ready for us had to wait hours before being able to check in. Once checked in found house to be extremely dirty with nail clippings on sofa and floor.Second night no power or heat waited for over an hour for homeowner to cure. Never arrived so we left and stayed the rest of the week at a local hotel.Huge inconvenience and a lot of money spent on three rooms in a hotel. Evolve host was absolutely no help what so ever.

Horribly stinky - think cats and mustiness. We tried opening windows around the house to let some fresh air in, and we could only locate two that opened and/or had screens. We were afraid to open a window with no screen because there were so many neighborhood cats roaming, we were fearful they would come inside. Clearly, the hosts know it smells horribly because there were "plug ins" all over the house trying to cover the odor (failing miserably). The outside property was unkept - shredded awnings, overgrown weeds, broken window frames, peeling paint on the whole house. The ad speaks of a porch to sit on - the cloth chairs were filthy, and the porch had seen better days. Towels and washcloths were left in each room which was nice. Extra bath towels were left on the washer, but we couldn't locate any more washcloths. After we checked in on Friday, the host texted that the washer was broken but if we needed it, they could have it installed the next day. Luckily, we didn't need it (except for the washcloths) and because we didn't want to deal with it, we asked to have the delivery postponed until after our stay. Many of the bulbs in the fixtures were burned out, so it was incredibly dark in every room.
Pros - The bathrooms, refrigerator, and sheets and towels were clean.
The location was great, but it was a completely disappointing & disgusting stay. It was extraordinarily expensive for what we had to endure, and we couldn't wait to leave.
