Very clean, cozy, and well kept. We had everything you need such as blankets, pillows, extra beds, kitchen accessories, etc. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Gallipolis.
The property was very clean, nicely decorated and a beautiful relaxing house. The host was very helpful and responded quickly. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.
A lovely place just down the street from the airy park with two days of activities. We loved walking down to the river front park and checking out the weekend events. We especially enjoyed dinner on the patio overlooking the river. Well decorated and cozy space.
Amazing house! Perfect for a weekend getaway with the kiddos! The house was stocked with everything we needed! Lots of fun things to do around downtown! Check out the “Our House” across the street! Tons of history there! Absolutely loved this little town and the people in it!
This was a very charming house to stay in while visiting family. Great views being right on the river. An easy walk to restaurants and coffee.
Felt very much at home and would definatley stay again the next time I visit.
We had the best time in Gallipolis. The home was absolutely beautiful and historic. We enjoyed sitting out on the back deck and looking over the water. It was so convenient to be able to walk to the park and town as well. I would definitely recommend this home to others.
This was our second stay. We had a wonderful visit. Beth was exceptional to work with, so accommodating. The home is adorable, in the best location, and super clean. We will look forward to our next visit.
Beautiful property, wonderful host, such a special experience.
We had the nicest time at Beth’s River front property. It was so cute, so clean, so nicely situated in town, and right on the river. Beth was beyond accommodating, and so helpful and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to our return trip in June :)
The Wife and I Stayed here, Very Very Very nice house and view of the river excellent host very accommodating, Beth is so nice and helpful, we had a trailer and she had a spot to park that, Very Clean House. Would Definitely go back again.. Thanks Beth for Everything.. Bill
Loved the property and the location by the river. The one car parking is unique (pavers, sandwiched between the road and the house), we navigated it just fine. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good for us. The twin beds (maybe in the closet) never made it out, as one person opted to just sleep on a couch.
Lovely home, amazing view of the river from the deck
Gallapolis by the River was a treat. Classic older home right on the river that’s been well maintained and has comfortable furnishings and beds. Very short walk to City Park and with convenient parking right in front. View of the River from the back deck couldn’t be any better. Downstairs bathroom is a little snug for tall guys but is very much in keeping with the charm of the home.
My family enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again.
The location of the home was a) exactly where I needed to be for my research- right downtown! and b) IMMEDIATELY on the Ohio river. I spent so much time on the deck, enjoying riverboats and barges. The whole house had perfect amenities, and the communication was excellent. An incredible break from the city!
We changed our travel dates to get this place and La Belle River House was everything we hoped. Beth was very helpful. The whole house is just lovely, comfortable, and nicely done with plenty of separate resting & visiting spots. Original hardwood floors throughout give authentic sound & feel. The kitchen was very functional, super ice machine, and all the needed equipment. It was also the best equipped property we've ever rented. Soaps, paper products, even coffee supplies, we didnt even have to visit the neighborhood PigglyWiggly! The nearby park and downtown area was enchanting at night and has patriotic & moving tributes to Gallia County Veterans. But it was the deck and gorgrous front row view of the Ohio River and lush bottomland that stole the show. With rain and overcast skies we wished for a covered portion because that is exactly where we wanted to be. Great birding with iridescent tree swallows and purple martins galore, and if you're lucky a glimpse of the stair groundhog! We tried Courtside & Lorobi's because they were within walking distance, both pretty good. We were planning a return trip before day 1 was over - great spot, dont tell!
My sister and I met at a relatively halfway spot to spend my birthday weekend together. This town is so cute! I arrived Friday evening and there was a little concert on the Square. The downtown 'square' had some military and war memorials, a bandstand, and a fountain, and everything is well maintained and overlooks the river. When we were walking around the Square before leaving on Sunday morning, there was a Farmer's Market going on and we purchased some fresh produce to take home with us. Such a lovely location to look out at the river, better if you are into boating. It was super hot that weekend, so we mostly stayed in the house and looked out the back windows that overlook the river. Very clean, really comfortable beds, and just a delightful home. The only thing of note is that there is only one parking space for the home, so be prepared to walk about a block for any more vehicles than the one. There is street parking, but it stayed pretty full near the house. Plenty of parking a block over at the downtown square, and it isn't a bad walk and has sidewalks the whole way.
