Two Blocks from Beach; Close to Pleasure Pier; Pet Friendly

Our house named, The Pelican Cove, is 2 blocks from the beach / Seawall in Galveston, TX. A cozy home perfect for families with children and/or pets, girls getaways, fishing trips, trips for Mardi Gras, Lone Star Rally, and more! Less than a mile away from Pleasure Pier (think Santa Monica pier, Coney Island), nearby restaurants, stores, etc.

The house includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, along with a kitchen and living area, everything is in tile. Fits six people comfortably, completely kid friendly and pet friendly (small animals allowed, must be house trained, no fleas or ticks, medium/large sized animals are allowed but will have a fee). We have Wi-Fi available that is automatically connected to our Vizio Smart TVs so you can access Netflix, Hulu, and other apps.

The living area is long, it extends from right when you enter the house to the kitchen (see picture). There is a couch directly in front of the 50" Smart 4K TV which has HD quality channels available for viewing. Nothing you want to watch on TV? No problem! We have a DVD player with a DVD library with lots of DVDs for you to choose from! Still nothing? Well, how about access to Netflix? That's right. With our Smart TV you can access Netflix, YouTube, play music from Pandora, etc. You can even log in with your Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney + account. We do have access to some streaming subscriptions, we just ask you to please use "The Pelican Cove" account!

Room description:
The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a sofa, also has a dresser with a mirror, closet to hang clothes, etc.

The second bedroom has two twin-sized beds on both sides of the room, in the middle there is a huge rug and a nightstand, also included with a closet and a dresser with a mirror. An extra mattress is available and can be laid down on the rug (please use sheets before laying it on the floor if there isn't one already placed on it).

The master bedroom has one king-sized bed with a dresser, also with a mirror, and another dresser that has linen available. Has closet, and it's own bathroom. It also has its own private 40" TV with a Blu-Ray player.

Both bathrooms include the usual, toilet, shower, sink with mirror. Towels will be included. Note: No beach towels will be provided. Please do NOT take towels to the beach.

The kitchen will be fully equipped for your stay, it includes a microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee machine w/ coffee available (we have 2; Keurig and regular coffee maker), blender, toaster, and cooking utensils will be provided.

The backyard:
The Pelican Cove has a deck including BBQ grill (coal-powered) and outdoor furniture, it's private, fenced off and covered. We do include basic grilling utensils.

Pets:
We are animal people too, so you may keep your pet but we've had experience with tenants bringing large animals that caused problems, so small animals will be allowed. The pet(s) must be house trained, medium/large pets will be considered but will be charged a fee! Please let us know how many pets will be staying, 1-2 are okay but anymore than that we will have to consider.

This was PERFECT for our family vacation! Exactly as described in the listing. Completely pet friendly with the fenced front and back yards. The yards are a bit small, but they were perfect for our 2 beagles. Would definitely stay here again!

Edgar was very easy to work with, communicates promptly. Property is as described, in an older neighborhood, but well maintained. Kitchen is basic, no dishwasher, but has everything else you need. Great location.

First of all, the pictures do not do this place justice! My best friend and I brought our dog and 5 (total) kids ranging in age from 14 to 7, and we had a blast!! The house is in a great location, the neighborhood is very nice and well kept. The house does have a smaller living room, but the shotgun style makes it feel bigger. The beds were comfortable, and it was super clean. We would definitely rent this property again!

Loved our stay ..very good location..good neighborhood..close to the beach for daily as many time visits to it.. Only problems we had is the key code access box to get in the door would not work properly Good thing there was a key there for back up issues.. With having kids with us etc could of used a TV in their room for night purposes when we were back at the house But loved Our Stay and would use this house property again for future visits

Very short walk to the beach. The kitchen had all the needed utensils. Plates pots pans etc for those who cook like we do. Down side of the kitchen is there isn’t a place to put your pantry items. Extremely pet friendly Full size washer and dryer. A very very extensive DVD collection. Nice patio area. Beds were comfortable. This was a good choice

Great property and location. There were four of us and we had plenty of space. We did some shopping in the Historic Strand area, ate awesome food, especially the Miller Cafe that was very close by. Did some sight seeing in the Historic houses area. Visited two very old cemeteries. Graves from the late 1800s. Not for everyone but we found them interesting. Rode the Colonial Paddle Boat at Moody Gardens. We visited Sea Wolf Park. Had a great time just relaxing in the evenings watching movies. Would recommend this mini vacation to everyone and this home.

A beautiful, clean home in a fantastic location. The pictures really don't do it justice. The house is roomy, comfortable, and stocked with everything you and your family would need for your stay. The wifi worked great for the kids and the TVs had movies galore. There were DVDs and board games to use just in case. The kitchen had all of the appliances and cookware needed so if we wanted to save money or just wanted a home-cooked meal, we had that option. The home is within walking distance of the beach and within close proximity of Pleasure Pier and some really good food. ("The Spot", which was one of the host's suggestions, was delicious!) The street is quiet and peaceful. Even during all of the new years festivities, we only heard a few fireworks and that's it. The yard is fully fenced for the furry friends and the back yard is adorable. Checking in and out was simple and stress-free. The host provided so much information about the city and things to do, places to eat, etc. I really could go on and on with positive things. Thank you Edgar and family for the care that you put in to this home. We really got the experience of living in a beautiful house close to the ocean and we thank you for that. We will be back!

The property was perfect for my stay. The ability to bring my dog a bonus. We didn't use the children's room but it was very nicely furnished. The master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable. The shower is small but works as required. The spare room at the front of the house is perfect for pets but needs a little extra cleaning if someone is going to use the bed. There was lots of dog hair on the bed from previous renters. The back patio is perfectly private and offers a small grass area for pet needs. The hutch in the dining room has games. We enjoyed the cards and dice. Overall, the house has everything anyone needs for a comfortable stay.
