"As advertised this is a very comfortable tent in the remote hills of Humboldt county. There is no power in the tent which is both charming and challenging. The whole farm is off grid, from an environmental standpoint it’s a really interesting place. The hike to the latrine was challenging for two oldish Americans, but if you want to be away from everything this is a great spot. The tent was super comfortable and the staff were quick to help."

"We are the first to stay on this property and my first camping trip. Wendy made sure we knew about the property before hand. She made lots of suggestions where to go in the area to increase our fun. Wendy is not afraid to communicate before, during nd after your trip. Because of this experience, I am a camping lover."

"The road to get to this property is no joke! The write up on Shelter cove road is spot on. At the end of the road is a hidden gem. Black sand beaches, and quite a view. The property was going thru some renovations, but our room was spacious and clean. Open the door to your balcony, and the ocean is right there. Breakfast at the cafe was also very good, it’s not included with the room. "
