Great home, snuggled in the woods, easy and short walk to the water. Huge deck with plenty of seating, part of it is covered. The home is older, filled with comfy furniture. Very clean, well maintained. Glad it wasn't decorated modern! We will be back.
The property is beautiful and rugged. No one mentioned HOW rugged! I would recommend this place for all-wheel drive vehicles only as it is a steep drive out, especially when the ground and leaves are wet. Unloading the vehicle was very difficult for us seniors. We were there when it turned cold so we barely enjoyed the fabulous deck, but in the summer it must be wonderful. The cabin itself was very comfortable and well-supplied. The quiet solitude was marred only by construction noises made by workers building a large house next door. This may be a deterrent to some in the future who are seeking more privacy. All in all we enjoyed our time here and might consider returning earlier in the year sometime.
The property is amazing if you are looking for a place to get away from everything. It sits in a quiet cove and the water is clear down to about 8 feet, maybe a little more. The depth is about 11-12 feet right off the end of the dock so you don't have to worry about hitting anything jumping, diving, or docking boats/jet skis. The dock has plenty of space to fish and entertain, it does have a slip but it was closed for use while we were renting it. The kids loved the coast around the property, it has rocks and woods for exploration.
The cabin is older and could use some updating and needs to be leveled as the floors slope a little, this did not bother us as the experience was what we were after. The kids really enjoyed the loft above the kitchen, it feels like a tree house up there. For us the cabin was just a place to cook and lay our head at night as we spent most of the time at or on the water.
The driveway is steep and may give you trouble if you try to take a big boat down/up it, but there is room at the top of the hill to park a trailer or boat without going all the way down the hill. The road right before you get to the cabin dead-ends into the water that's where the locals put boats in. We put our jet ski's in there, it's not steep at all so you have to back pretty far into the water to get a boat/ski's off but it is really convenient. It is a 2 minute car ride and 30 second boat ride from the cabin/dock.
We would stay here again!!! Awesome secluded spot!
Had a wonderful time, weather was perfect. The house was clean and right on the lake which made it wonderful.

Quiet, secluded property that was clean and well kept. Perfect for our group!!
If you would like to have a get away from the everyday grind, this is the place for you. We had access to a private boat dock for the jet ski we brought and kids were able to swim at anytime. The property is about 20 min from the town of Garfield, but we didn’t mind at all. There is plenty of cook ware, toaster, coffee maker, etc. The satellite TV was nice in the evening. We will definitely try to book Cedar Rock again if we travel to the Eureka Springs area again. Thank you for a relaxing, well-needed vacation.

Loved it!
We just got back from a week at this lovely cabin-my only complaint is that it's not MY cabin! Easy walk to a spectacular dock with comfy chairs and nice swim deck that is covered to get out of the hot afternoon sun.....awesome, HUGE deck facing the water that we sat out with our two dogs and drank our morning coffee while the kids slept in. A little drive if you want to go out to eat, but we go to the lake to BE at the lake! Take your slow cooker & have dinner ready when you get back from a day of fun on the water......THAT'S LAKE LIVIN' to our family! Oh, and when we went to check out, my husband didn't have a grease gun for our trailer-the lady at the office went to her house & got her personal one for us to borrow-talk about friendly, helpful service! Would LOVE to visit again....and again, and again, and again..........:-)
My wife and I chose this place for a little anniversary getaway. Northwest Arkansas is absolutely stunning. Just the drive from the main highway to the house was a joy. Then we get to the house. I've stayed in plenty of rentals but this felt more "homey" than most. I don't think this house would work with very young children too well, but I'd say 10+ everyone's happy. For an anniversary getaway it was great. A bonus not mentioned is some nearby neighbors let their dogs roam and on two consecutive days a sweet neighbor pup came and hung out with us for a few hours. We literally adopted a dog after the trip because we missed the random neighbor dogs. I really could ramble for a long time about this place. my only real "warning" is there is no WIFI and cell service at the house is practically non existent. However just 30' away on the dock is full 5g. It was weird but also genuinely kinda nice to not have phones unless I chose to.
Wife and I adored this house and northwest Arkansas generally. 6/5 stars
Overall, our stay here was good, but not great. The property location was perfect for what we wanted (secluded and by the lake). However, the cabin was a bit old an needed some minor repairs. Examples include a blown off screen on the back sliding door, the firepit in the front fully rusted through, and some other small items. Overall these did not impact our stay, but it felt as if no one had maintained the property in a while. At the time of our booking the listing mentioned that firewood is usually there, but not guaranteed. This is not completely truthful. After talking with the property manager, there is rarely firewood there unless the owner has recently stayed (not at all this season). Not a flat out lie, but definitely a mischaracterization. It would be more accurate to say that firewood is rarely available, but you might be lucky and have some there. It would have been nice to have firewood since the power went out during our stay and it was very cold. Not their fault and I'm not dinging my rating for this unfortunate luck, but firewood would have been a good solve that was not offered. That said, Allyson was very responsive when the power was out, trying to track down information and keep us apprised of power company and neighborhood updates. I really appreciated her responsiveness.
It would have been great, but when we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. The beds were just the way the last guest left it. I called immediately. Was told so sorry and someone will be there ASAP. And they were, but we had to wait outside for 2 hours while waiting for someone to arrive and then wait till they cleaned. We had planned on unloading the car as it was packed full and then going to get supplies. But it was well after dark after we unloaded, to late to go get supplies, the grocery store was 30 minutes away. So the next day was spent getting supplies. We lost 3/4 of a day doing what we wanted to do the day before. They put the same bedspreads on that were already used!! With Covid here I did not like that. We removed them and used our own Lysol to clean. The next morning no electricity. I understand things happen. I called and Was told most everyone was out. But don’t run water or flush toilets on a well system. Luckily I am familiar with well system and I did not do any of those things. So that as another 4 hours lost. Wish I had been contacted to know what was going on. It as a great time. But we lost a full day to not being clean and no electric. Checkout is 10:30. So we only had 1 full day of vacation time, that was not our fault. Just felt the house was not as clean as it should have been, Due to it not being cleaned before we got there. In these Covid times. That is very important. I would go back again. But I was very disappointed in it not being cleaned!!!
The location is very tranquil and private. Looking at the lake from the deck has such a calming effect. The beautiful home is well stocked, clean, and just perfect for a small family. We all enjoyed our stay and had a much needed rest and relaxation. Our canine family also enjoyed running around the front yard, at the dock, and at the lakeside. Such a wonderful time!
Oh gosh, what to say! The first thing I said when I walked through the house and saw the view of the trees, dock, and lake from the giant windows was "OH, we will be coming back here soon!!". The house was very, very clean.
I called the day of and spoke with someone who was very gracious on the phone and with their time. Gave me all the details (that were also in an email) and some extra tips with taking a boat/trailer.
Absolutely LOVED the house, definitely looking forward to visiting again when the weather is warmer!
This cabin is comfortable and has a great location. It is down a gravel road but it seems well maintained. The deck is gorgeous and the house is quite private and isolated. The walk down the to lake is easy. The floating dock was fun - when we arrived it was away from the shore but was pulled up the next day so we could access. house has what you need - plates pans etc. Bring your own spices and consumables for kitchen because you are a way from a store.
Quiet, private, and clean! Brought the dogs and met friends for a weekend escape. Dock was amazing for fishing. Tons of outside space to enjoy and it really is super close to the water. Check in requires you to stop at the rental office which wasn’t terrible but you also have to return the keys to the rental office when you leave. Instructions for check out were clear. Everything was extremely clean and as pictured. Missing some basic kitchen items so make sure you bring some with you. Will be returning!
This is a great house and property. We loved swimming off the dock, and being able to hop in our boat & go for a ride. Easy walk to the water too. House was super comfortable with everything we needed. Will definitely come back!
Deck, dock, and view was awesome. House was really clean and big enough for 4 adults. We had a great time. The beds could use some improvement but it didn’t damper the fun we had. The neighbors dogs is an awesome welcoming committee!!Thanks for a fun cousins vaca!
