    The atmosphere here brings history up to date in an ideal journey between a modern, comfortable residence and an agricultural past of olive and citrus cultivation.

    The municipality of Gargnano with its approx. 3000 inhabitants is located on the western shore of Lake Garda; its territory extends 78 km2 from the lake to the mountains, partly within the Alto Garda Bresciano Park. Gargnano is made up of thirteen hamlets that, between lake, hill and mountain, give the town a complete variety of environmental situations: Bogliaco, Villa and Gargnano Centro lie on the lake in a wide basin among vegetable gardens, olive groves, gardens and ancient lemon houses. Rising gently towards the mountain are the hamlets of Villavetro, Fornico and Zuino. Beyond an altitude of 500 metres, the hill draws other hamlets: Liano, Formaga, Navazzo, Sasso and Musaga, which still preserve beautiful rural architecture. Further away, the hamlet of Muslone overlooks Lake Garda, while the hamlet of Costa, 18 kilometres away, is the farthest from the main town.
    The Gargnanese hinterland includes Lake Valvestino, an authentic fi ordo nestled in the mountains of the valley of the same name. There are numerous churches, historical palaces and artistic beauties scattered throughout the area, such as the splendid Villa Bettoni or the 16th-century Palazzo Comunale del Traff egnini (1581) overlooking the main town harbour, Palazzo Feltrinelli and Villa Feltrinelli, which has gone down in history as the "Villa del Duce" for having hosted Mussolini during the days of the Italian Social Republic.
    Because of this special charm, Gargnano is a popular destination for secluded and peaceful tourism. Moreover, in recent decades, its fame has been consolidated, thanks to the varied and intense sporting activity, especially in the area of sailing with the Centomiglia, which attracts numerous enthusiasts from all over the world.
