5 Bedroom Cabin in Gatlinburg with Home Theater close to Rocky Top Sports comple

  • This is a 3600 square foot log cabin located in the Golf Creek area of Cobbly Nob in Gatlinburg,Tn. We have a fantastic view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There is a creek at the edge of the property running through the golf course, providing a very relaxing sound. There are 3 decks for enjoying the views.

    The top floor contains the kitchen, open living area, and two bedrooms (king and queen beds). All the bedrooms are separated for privacy and each has its own private bathroom. There is a 42' flat screen TV with HD and an electric fireplace in the living area. The are two dining tables, enough to seat 10-12 easily. The master bedroom has a huge walk-in closet and huge bathroom with jetted tub and shower. There is a flat screen 32' HD tv in master bedroom. The utility room contains a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. The hot tub is on the front deck on this level.


    The second floor is the deluxe game room containing a full size pool table, foosball, and ping pong (table tennis). There is an electric fireplace in the game room. There are two separated bedrooms, each with private baths. The king bedroom has an adjoining small bedroom with a full size bunk bed (full /full). This is great for families with children. New 32' flat screen tv in king bedroom. There is a balcony off the game room for your viewing pleasure.

    The lower level is the theater. This 10' x 40' room has an 80' smart tv and DVD player. We have provided recliners for your viewing comfort. There is also a wet bar with microwave and full bathroom on this floor. A single log bed that sleeps 1 is on this level. There are two exit doors from the theater to the balcony.

Family Cabin

This cabin exceeded all expectations. It was spacious, homey, unique, and offers beautiful scenery of the mountains. The host did great to open this home with everything we needed. I definitely would recommend staying here if you have a large family.

Lots of room for whatever you want! All the game stuff and movie theater for our 3 families (6 kids 7-19 yrs) 30 minute drive to get to towns but felt nice being secluded! Pool was nice/average. Hot tub was nice!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was fully stocked with anything we could have possibly needed. We did get to experience a bear walking in the driveway....a little scary but cool at the same time. Property manager was very informative and quickly responded to any questions we had. Truly enjoyed our stay!

The property is beautiful and we liked the location. There’s lots of room to spread out. The only negative things I’ll say is that the layout of the house is odd, and the queen sized beds don’t seem to actually be queen sized beds. Maybe full size.

Dollywood vacation

We had a great time at this cabin, which was perfect for a large extended family with children going to Dollywood for a couple days. Most of us went to Dollywood which was about a 35 min drive. We passed McDonald’s on the way for breakfast which was convenient. There were close local restaurants for easy pizza and other options for dinner. The house was great! Perfect amount of space for all of us, great views, and very clear communication with the host. We will definitely be back!

Great home a way from home

It was an amazing place to stay. Way bigger than we were expecting in all areas. The view and the sound of all nature amazing. The cabin was very clean, had lots of kitchen necessities. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I just can’t say it enough about how well-maintained it was definitely a place that we would stay at again.. and a property owner. I asked just a couple simple questions and I got a quick response. Very nice very sweet very easy to work with checking in was a breeze very easy checking out I give this place a 10 out of 10 star rating. You can’t go wrong with this beautiful place.

Family vacation

We were very pleased with this cabin in every aspect. There was plenty of room for our entire family. The cabin is fairly close to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed the pool a couple of times during our week and really loved the balconies overlooking the mountains. The cabin was tidy and well stocked. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to use the hot tub so I can’t review that. The parking will easily hold about 6-7 cars, however, the driveway is quite steep and can be slick when it rains. Overall, we highly recommend Something Special for your family gatherings. We will absolutely stay here again.

Something Special was great!!!

Myself, husband, daughter, son in law and 3 grandchildren ages 6-12 really enjoyed our stay at Something Special while we explored Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. All the children had their own rooms and really enjoyed the game games. The theater room had issues with the speakers not working so movie time was ‘difficult’ … lol. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and spacious deck for morning coffee although the deck furniture and grill could have used a good cleaning. The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed. Communication with the owners was awesome. We definitely would stay here again if we were vacationing in the area.

Cleanliness was not what we call good, many damages throughout the property, owner was called and she did not know about the damage, HDMI cable in theatre room did not work, not allowing us to use the theatre room, driveway was precarious steep going up and down and very narrow driveway, our family made our own good time sightseeing and enjoying Gatlinburg.

Get-away with family

11 adults and 1 child. Plenty of room. Some of the bathroom sink drains were plugged. Bathrooms were clean. The Keurig didn't work. Grill needed cleaned. Few light bulbs needed replaced. Kitchen was well equipped. Bring your own soap and hair dryers. Yes there are bears! We saw one by our cars looking around. The place is about 30 minutes from the major attractions. It is secluded from all the noise. We had a fun week at the cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! We had a large group of family/friends with ages ranging from 1 year old to 89! We loved the location and it felt a lot more private compared to some of the past rentals we have stayed in. The only downside to our stay was that the hot tub deck was being repaired so we were not able to use it, but the host did apologize and let us know ahead of time. Parking can be a little tight but we managed to make it work for all 4 of our vehicles. The beds and couches were all VERY comfortable! The cabin wasn't necessarily dirty but there were a few areas that seemed like they had been rushed through or just overlooked with cobwebs, dirty mirrors/windows, and dirt/dust in the window sills. The listing was definitely accurate. We had the best time and would stay here again!

I had a great time with my family but there were a few minor issues with cleanliness, but 2 major issues that I couldn’t get resolved, since I didn’t realize that the property owners stayed 3 hours away, which is what I was told after I reached out. The 1st was not being able to use the hot tub since it was locked upon arrival, and the next day once we got back from our time out, it was unlocked but there were no lights or bulbs in the lights so it was pitched dark on the porch and we couldn’t use the hot tub. The 2nd big issue was the toilet in the master bedroom that had the jetted bathtub it was broken and my guests and I had to flush it with our hand by reaching inside the back. The good news is because of these issues I was given a discount after check out. I was very disappointed, since I have been to a cabin in Gatlinburg before and was really expecting the whole experience with my family of being able to use the hot tub, we had our swimsuits and everything. This was a big deal for me since it was my 50th birthday celebration and my family traveled miles to be with me and experience it. I will definitely be returning to Gatlinburg but never to this location again! I will go directly through the website like we did in previous years and stay away from private owners. FYI, the upper parking is extremely steep which is expected but it should be fixed to be smoother coming down since it scraped the bottom of the SUV. It’s safer in the bottom parking area.

This cabin was amazing. We loved every minute of it. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer. The entire cabin is so cozy and inviting. The hot tub was perfection. The only issue we had was that the bed in the master bedroom was super squeaky and every movement at night woke me up bc it was very noisy
