We loved the layout and location of River Cottage. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and lots of space for cooking or relaxing. The deck and hot tub were bonuses! The home was clean, well stocked and comfortable. We even saw a bear in the river one morning.

Great place for family stay. Spacious rooms and very clean well kept property. Enjoyed river view from deck and had a bear walk up and pass right below the deck/hot tub twice during our stay. Grandkids got extremely excited about the bear.

Perfect stay
We spent a week in Gatlinburg, and wanted a place that would allow us to be in walking distance if everything. This provided a perfect stay. The house itself is clean, spacious, comfortable, and recently redone. Amenities and style on par with a nice hotel. We thought we would be sacrificing the view and privacy that many local cabins offer, but the site on the river in the heart of town was surprisingly private with a fantastic relaxing view of the river from the house and deck. For experiencing Gatlinburg, the location is perfect. Two blocks from the Ober Gatlinburg lift and the Parkway, no need for a car and parking in town. 2 miles by trail to the Sugarlands visitor center. Pigeon Forge was accessible by the Parkway bypass. The setup is perfect for three adult couples. It worked for our family of 5, but could be improved a little with bedding more flexible than three kings.

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived even though we were provided with the access code. They were contacted and immediately came and fixed everything! Loved the cabin, open and comfortable! Great location and easy walking distance to downtown and restaurants.
