Anniversary vaca

Except for the little oops with hot tub when we got there….the stay was excellent. Response time and fix was super. Communication Very responsive. Cabin was very rustic and peaceful. Would recommend new fitted sheet…doesn’t stay tight on bed, otherwise bed was very comfortable. Overall great time…would definitely stay there again

Peaceful and relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the pond fishing and the sound of the river was so soothing. I would stay there again 100%! I just wish that we could have had access to the river from the cabin side. Wonderful host and comfy cabin to relieve stress! Overall we really loved it!

Vacation

Love the location of this property. Perfect for adult couple. However, if the temperature outside is cold bring warm clothes, it does get cold without a fire. Could use some updates, but we definitely enjoyed our stay. Rented through VRBO.

Beautiful and cozy

Me and my husband spent our honeymoon here. It was a beautiful and cute little cabin on the water. Very peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed our mornings on the balcony, drinking coffee, listening to the water. Fireplaces in the bedroom and downstairs were nice as well.

Wonderful Anniversary

We stayed for a week for our one year wedding anniversary and had a great time. It was nice to drink our coffee by the creek and listen to nature. Very relaxing. The host was very responsive to any questions and was a great resource. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy and relaxing

Delightful stay and Lindsey Mill

Perfect getaway spot for couples who don’t want to be in the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. The hot tub over the creek was perfect and we enjoyed seeing bears cross the creek from the safety and comfort of the hot tub - it was about a 7-10 minute drive to the local grocery store (Food City) and about 15 into town. Very clean and welcoming!

Private, romantic, and fun!

I have so many good things to say about this cute little cabin! The listing is exactly what it states and more! It's so quiet, private, and beautiful, it makes you feel like you are the only people on earth while you are there. The creek is so calming the only wildlife we saw were deer, we did find lots of golfballs from the course across the way in the water to take home. The pond is nice too, my husband caught bluegill galore nothing bigger. He still thinks something bigger is in there! The kitchen was fully furnished had everything we needed to cook after we went grocery shopping. The bed was so comfortable! The bathroom was clean and big enough for 2 in and out of the shower! The decks at night were so peaceful listening to the streams...I could go on and on! I wanted to stay forever but life calls! Thank you for being exactly what we needed!

Cabin was exactly as advertised. It was a perfect place to get away to.... Like coming to a home, way better than an old hotel room. It was quiet, cozy and clean cabin. The host was the best we have ever encountered with VRBO. We would rate more than 5 stars if possible.

Great atmosphere abd location.

We stayed 3 nights in this delightful cabin. The cabin was cozy and felt like home. The little stream running by was a nice touch. Everything was as advertized. The fireplaces were really nice and made the experience even better. Everything worked and the host commujicated with us at light speed. Definitely 5 stars.

A place to relax after lots of adventures

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. We were about 20 minutes from all the attractions in Gatlinburg. We enjoyed being away from the city, but close enough to enjoy it during the day. Listening to the creek and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening brought our eventful days in the city to a peaceful close. The cabin was very clean and cozy; not to be confused with small, we had a ton of space! This was the most relaxing and beautiful place we have stayed.

Relaxing getaway

My husband and I traveled down for a quick getaway to relax before the craziness of summer starts. It was a cute, clean cabin perfect for what we wanted. The sound of the stream behind us was very calming. We spent most of our time reading and soaking up the quiet. We will definitely be back. For being close to the main road, it was quiet and peaceful. The perfect place to unwind and catch up on some reading!

Absolutely beautiful

Lindsey Mill is the most unique place we have ever stayed. Very cozy and cute and it has all the little things. We were blessed with alot of snow and freezing temperatures. It was magically. The hosts were so kind and checked in on us and even helped us find open roads to get out. We will be back to see it in the spring.

Peaceful getaway

This property was pretty much as described in the listing. You can hear traffic from the road. The babbling creek is great! Owners were pleasant,very easy to get in touch with, accommodating. Cabin was clean, kitchen was supplied well with dishes, utensils, baking items. The downstairs is chilly even with fire as noted by others as well. If you are short note the bed is VERY VERY high! We used the steps from the hot tub for me, that was not fun trying to get out in the middle of the night … it is comfy though.

A little disappointed

Pros: The area was perfect, secluded yet not too far from Gatlinburg. The Mill was the perfect size for two people with plenty of space. The bathroom was big enough for two people to occupy at the same time. Bedroom was huge with seating and plenty of storage. Kitchen was well stocked with almost everything you'd need for cooking. Decks were spacious and quite soothing with the steam running underneath you. Cons: You have to love the smell of a fire if your going to stay there because the fireplace smell was overwhelming inside. The shower is very spacious but a handheld shower head would have been better for woman. The bed was very firm if that's what you like.The hot tub jets were rusty and did not function so we opted not to use it. When we arrived, the ac wasn't working properly. Notified owners and they offered to send out handyman. We declined because it was cool enough outside to open the doors and sleep comfortably. Two days later temps rose and ac unit completely failed. Handyman came out, said it was not an easy fix and stated the owner would contact us shortly and probably find us another place to stay. So we spent the afternoon packing up. Owner contacted us 3 hours later stating that someone would be there in an hour to set up portable ac. Temps upstairs never got below 71 so pretty uncomfortable for sleeping. Owner apologized and gave us a 50 refund, it should have been atleast a full nights refund. We will not be using them anymore. them again. Loved the

Not what it says

Many things that a prospective renter should know are not included in this listing. First what’s good. The owner responded very quickly to issues that had to do with safety and our health and those issues were reduced but not mitigated. The cabin was decorated perfectly. The bed and bedding was comfortable. Now for the rest. First. The owner sent me a direct communication through VRBO asking me to not put any negative information about their property online in a public forum, instead I was and did report those issues only in a no public manner. I felt I was being asked to be dishonest. The listing is NOT where the map shows it to be. We didn’t find this out until we went searching for the property. It’s wS 12 miles away from where the map shows it to be. Next, we had to leave the property a day early due to smoke smell that could it get mitigated. They tried but it was not safe to stay. Next, the property is not as isolated as the pictures make it seem. There is one more major issue but the owner needs to reveal this on the listing as anyone expecting to get a good night’s sleep would want to know about this.

Great Cabin!!: private, creekside with pond & about 20 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for to stay on our trip! It was clean and tidy, and it had all the bathroom and kitchen extras a person could need. We enjoyed the creek off the back porches, and my husband loved fishing in the pond. Bug repellent candles were even provided for the porches. Things of note: It is about a 20 minute drive to Downtown Gatlinburg. You cannot walk to Downtown Gatlinburg from this cabin. We were fine with this though because we wanted a more private cabin. Regarding the fishing - we didn’t see many fish in the creek. My husband thought it was maybe too shallow; however, there are plenty of rocks to jump around on and the creek is loads of fun to play in! The private pond had plenty of fish. My husband caught blue gill and attempted to catch the elusive bass fish he kept seeing. The fish seemed to bite more when using live bait - we got night crawler worms from a general store up the road. The coffee machine takes ground coffee and a filter - it is not a k-cup. The cabin does have a smell, but it’s just the smell of an old cabin. I don’t think it’s a musty or dusty smell, just an old home smell. I don’t know how to explain it. It didn’t bother us (and I have horrible allergies) but we both described it as an old home smell upon entering the cabin. There was also a hint of a fireplace smoke smell, but we expected that with the two wood burning fireplaces. Finally, there is no washer or dryer in the cabin. We had a blast!

The cabin was perfecttttt! I spent every spare minute on the back porch. I could rock and listen to the stream all day!Everything was very clean. Hot tub was great!Host messaged me shortly after arriving to make sure we made it in and had everything that we needed. Just a short distance to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cherokee. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!!

We loved the quiet location of this cabin. My fella enjoyed fishing in the pond and I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the deck, listening to the sounds of the stream. The bed was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. Good location. We would definitely stay there again.
