I recently stayed here for 5 nights with my family and two small dogs. We had a wonderful time. The views were absolutely breathtaking—each morning, I woke up to stunning scenery that felt like something out of a postcard. Cody, the host, was fantastic. He was really great at communicating everything I needed to know, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.One of the highlights was the outdoor fireplace located on a large deck. It was so nice to sit by it in the evenings, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Plus, getting firewood was super easy; I found it in several places nearby in Gatlinburg without any hassle. There is also an inside fireplace in the family room. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway, and I’d definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the mountains!
Our family just stayed here for 7 days. Everything was as advertised. Great view and peaceful community. Plenty of trails and nice drives nearby and it won't take you long to see bears if you're looking for them.
Had an amazing time and trip!! The house was everything we wanted. Has amazing views to look at and relax and the privacy was great. It was amazing to see a few bears go right by the back yard. Cody was great with the whole process of getting us checked in and always responded right away to any questions we had. Will definely go back and stay again.
First vacation in 9 years for either my wife or myself. We have a special needs child and the property was open and accessible enough for easy entrance and exit. Great view, proper
Easy to find with beautiful views . Clean and easy check in- we loved being able to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the view . We adored the wood fireplace . Good WiFi and tv. We played pool every night with the kids . It’s a quiet little neighborhood up on a mountain- 10/10 would recommend for a family not wanting to be in the thick of traffic but close enough to town to eat and shop if you want .
The host is wonderful & very responsive. We appreciate the pet friendly capability. Also like that 2 bedrooms are one the main floor. The arcade was fun. Would not recommend night driving to the location.
Nice and quiet location. Walking distance to the pool was nice. Could use bigger frying pans/ pots for cooking meals with the family. Besides that, we had a great stay!!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at A Southern Point of View. It was a perfect combination of comfort and fun. Relaxing in the hot tub was the best! The neighborhood was nice and quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we would have possibly needed. Cozy and comfortable rooms made it so easy to relax after a fun and long day on the strip of Gatlinburg! Also has a visitor which made it even better! Definitely will return!

Overall we enjoyed our stay here, location was beautiful, beds were comfy and the hot tub was great. A few things could be improved though, clearer instructions to find the place, we got lost trying to find it the first time. They could do a better job keeping the outside clean, they should spray for bugs. There were HUGE spiders by the front door which I didn't love. Also host sent a message asking if we needed anything but when I replied asking for firewood they never got back to me. Otherwise we did enjoyed our stay but just these things could have been better.

Family trip to Gatlinburg
Stayed for 5 days, house was clean and neat inside. Overall not a bad stay, but our few issues with the property were: all the trash outside by the trash bin and all down the hillside, little baggies of dog poop left up front in the flower beds, upstairs shower didn't drain properly, outside fireplace and grill were nice to have but all full of ash and the two buckets supplied to empty the ash were both already full. Coffee machine wasn't compatible with K cups as asked, I think a piece was missing. The Google directions to get to the house were not accurate and it was difficult to find at first. Nothing that would ruin a trip and the kids enjoyed the games and pool table, but a little more attention to details would help.
Everything was pretty clean, we did find old Cheerios sitting under the pool table but we didn't pay much attention to it lol. Just like any other house theres always gonna be spiders, i think between the 8 of us we killed about 6 both nights while playing pool and sitting in the kitchen. Everything else was perfect! Host was great and communicative. Although ive gotta say if you have a somewhat low sedan/vehicle you will destroy your front end getting into the main driveway/parking area. Very helpful theres extra parking though! Hot tub was nice too!! I would highly recommend leaving some extra cleaning supplies just in case. I think we only had a small thing of dish soap and one dish washer pod. Wipes or some sort of cleaner would’ve been nice to wipe down the tables and countertops after cooking or even if there was any sort of spillage/accidents. there was no detergent for the washer so it seemed kind of useless. We had towels but id recommend keeping some extra for the hot tub use & if theres 7-8 people there. Overall amazing stay and peaceful neighborhood!

Beautiful location, gorgeous views. So why did we leave 2 days early to move into a hotel? Home & property in need of attention & repairs. While friendly in emails, the owner sidestepped direct questions about the internet connection (which I need for medical device). My husband fell through the rotted wooden walkway within our first hour. Owner replied, "most people don't go back there." It's attached to the only exit from the sunroom! Dead battery in smoke detector was chirping away when we entered. The kitchen was very disappointing- the coffee maker was missing a piece, making it inoperable; the toaster handle was broken, severe lack of storage containers in which to place food, no pizza cutter (but TWO microwaves???) The dining table was smeared with so much syrup or honey upon arrival, that it made a sticky mess of our clothing. Too tired after traveling, I spent my first morning cleaning the place & doing laundry. The wifi was important to monitor my health... if it had been described as "intermittent, at best" I would never have picked this place. I understand most people don't escape to the mountains for internet... I must have it & had no issues with previous mountain cabins in the area. This property has great potential... it just seems abused or neglected. What a way to spend our 35th anniversary.
