  • Relax with the convenience of a gas log fire on the main level, or play a game of pool in front of a wood burning fireplace on the lower level. With 4 private bedrooms on 3 levels and full baths on the main and lower level with a half bath in the loft, families have plenty of room to spread out. There is spacious parking for at least 4 cars without a steep driveway. Large deck with hot tub and winter views. Leave the sizzle of summer while enjoying shady mountain breezes with occasional sightings of bears. Ideal for adult retreats.


    Guest Services at Chalet Village Owners Club: All guests have the use of facilities at the Chalet Village Owners Clubs. The South Club is located less than a mile from Bear Haven. The North Club is located about 1 1/2 miles from Bear Haven. The clubs have outdoor swimming pools, which are open in season which is roughly Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are also game rooms and tennis courts.

The location was great and inside of the cabin was excellent, clean and comfortable. The owner was kind and responsive. The exterior leaves a lot to be desired due to the rough and uneven shape of the deck.

Everything was so perfect. It was clean and very family friendly. Our whole family including the kids really enjoyed the stay. They had provided with every basic needs wether it be for restrooms or kitchen or laundry. Everything was available and the best part was they had so many towels so we didnt have to repeat any towels. Loved the hot tub experience. Kids really enjoyed this place. Definitely would recommend to everyone who wants to stay here.

Cozy Mountain Cabin

Bear Haven Indeed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect as it provided quick access to all of the tourist destinations as well as to the National park. The layout was exactly what we were looking for. The deck view was perfect for our mountain getaway. During our 7 night stay we had 39 bear sightings from the deck. The hot tub was great for soaking after our hikes in the mountains. We can’t wait to come back!

Teachers’ Spring Break Trip

The property was exactly as described. The peaceful setting was perfect for relaxation. The directions to get there were easy to follow. The instructions for the cabin along with the recommendations were helpful. The Wi-Fi eas great, which was so nice after not having service in most of the places we went. We loved being so close to downtown Gatlinburg and all of the hiking trails.

Thanksgiving Getaway

Beautiful place to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday! The whole family has a great time and there was a lot of things to do and see. The hot tub was great - clean, working and perfect on a cold night. The pool table brought out the competitive side of the family :) There was plenty of space for the family to have quiet time for themselves. Would definitely recommend others to stay in this cute and cozy cabin! The Christmas decorations were an added bonus!

We had such a blast during our stay - saw bears everyday but one. The communication with the propert manager could not have been more clear and the check-in process was seamless. Even our teenagers had fun! The location was perfect, just a 10 min drive to Gatlinburg and the scenery was breathtaking. We will definitely be back!!

Exactly what we needed

Johnny is an amazing host. The chalet is quaint, but accommodating. The price is right, and allowed us to experience all that Gatlinburg has to offer without breaking the bank. This was most likely our last trip with our mother, who absolutely adores the Smokey Mountains, she was in tears with gratitude by the end of the trip. We are not overflowing with money for vacation, so finding the chalet, reasonably priced and comfortable allowed us to focus on being together without the stress of a financial burden.

Family Vacation

We had a great time at the cabin. It was the perfect size for my family and my sisters family. We saw a few bears during our week stay (14 total). The rooms worked out well for us. Compared to the other cabins near by it did seem a little dated but that did not bother us. We also liked using the clubhouses for swimming which were nice for our kids ranged 3-11 years old. The downstairs jack and jill bathroom shower stall is small but worked fine. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Great vacation!

Cabin is cozy and enough room for the seven of us. We were here for the Christmas week and the decorations were appreciated. Nice having a Christmas tree.We used the hot tub almost every day. Beautiful cabin

The cabin was clean and spacious and beautiful. There a high chair there for baby, wished there wouldve been a pack n play but it was fine bc hs ealways sleeps with me anyways... i expected 2 tubs but there was only 1. But it was totally fine . Worked out great. We really enjoyed our vacation.

Bears bears everywhere!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. We cooked most all meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The washer/dryer was a helpful perk so we are going home with clean clothes. Our family utilized the hot tub and the pool table as well. We saw bears at least 15 times during our three night stay. They were not aggressive but we kept our distance and just watched from the deck. One bear did try getting in our vehicle but doors were locked and everything was safe. We would highly recommend this cabin for families in the future.

Overall Good.

Overall the cabin was clean, but there were a few minor issues. There was a used washrag left hanging on the back of the main bathroom’s door, the towel rack in the main bathroom was broken and being pulled from the wall and there was a used tissue on the floor of the master bedroom. We ended up using a box fan in the master bedroom, but one of the other fans did not work and the upstairs bedroom gets very hot. Aside from these minor issues the stay was great. The location was very close to downtown Gatlinburg and easy to get to.
