"This is our second time staying here. We love it so much! The view is spectacular. The home is set up so there was plenty of room for my group of six to spread out. Can’t wait for next year!"

"Rustic Charm. This was the perfect place for our family to stay while visiting the area. The neighborhood is friendly and very quiet (except for the loons :)There are 3 comfortable queen size beds. The 2 beds in the second floor are under an A-Frame ceiling so it is difficult to stand on either side of the bed. But the ceiling fans were quiet and brought in some fresh mountain air each evening.Home does have cental air but we did not need this during our September stay. Place is very welcoming for pets.The owner was very accessible. She reached out to us before our stay to alert us around a pothole-road that our GPS was guiding us on. And she was on top of messages during our stay.All in all, an extremely pleasant visit. All four family members felt this was a great find."

"The code didn't work when we arrived so check in wasn't great. Summer in NE is the time to be outdoors, but the deck of this house was literally rotting; the deck furniture was broken and only offered seating for two people. The home is on a shallow, dirty cove of water, full of yellow and brown algae. It does not look safe to swim in. The grass in front of the house was a foot tall and the back of the house is in desperate need of landscaping. The neighbors are very close and there is no privacy. Inside the house I came upon this mess in the shower and the owner's response was "It's still operable". Not "I'm sorry for the mess, would you mind cleaning it up for us"? The walls of the house are paper thin and you can hear everything. The decor is cheap and aged. The rudeness of the owner, Shawn, was the icing on the a miserable experience. When I reached out the first morning to tell him we would not be staying, he was argumentative and mocking. He has zero customer service skills and should not be dealing with the public. The photos on this listing looked good, but those photos are not reality. I have never had such a poor experience renting a cottage and hope I never do again. Steer clear!"

"We had a great stay. Our grandsons found plenty to do from fishing to basketball. Property was well appointed and well laid out for us, family of 6. Plenty of space. This was our second stay, first was 16 years ago. "

"Richard was the perfect host! The cottage was immaculate, decorated so nicely, VERY thoughtfully put together with many nice touches! Lots of board games, binoculars, plush bath and beach towels, and so much more! A welcome card with a nice bottle of wine. Kayaks were great! If we needed anything Richard was right there to help! The deck right on the waters edge was perfection! The fishing on the lake was awesome!!! We caught so many fish! We were so impressed with everything, you can tell so much love and thought went into making it a welcoming, cozy cottage. and will definitely be back again next summer :)"

"We loved the house and location. We kept saying how peaceful it was. House was beautiful. They boys loved the canoe & fishing. The game room got plenty of use as well as the awesome screen projector in the living room. We would love to stay again.The only negative was the house was not very clean upon arrival. The floors needed to be done & tables wiped, bag of trash in the driveway. The management company did ask if we need them to take care of anything but no big deal we took care of it."
