"The desk attendant checking me in noti ed i was on cruthes. He asked what was wrong, and i explained i had a fracture in my knee. He upgraded me to a handicap room with a handicap shower, which i had not been able to take for a month. It sure beat trying to get in and out of the tub!"
"Thr proprrty looked just like the pictures. Relaxing with great views. We live in the Twin Cities and were having our house painted inside. We couldn't be in the house while they eere painting. We love the fact that the host chose to make this a pet friendly getaway. Howard lake offered some really good opportunities for us. Our car broke down and we went to a place called Omega Auto and they took great care of us and were extremely reasonable. We also found a boat rental nearby in Maple Lake and they were extremely affordable. We were very interested in this because the host also offered a doc where we could put the boat. There are a lot of small towns within a 20 minute drive to explore. We had a lot of fun in Buffalo at some thrifting/antiquing places. We were amazed at how easy the coming and going to this home was from the Twin Cities considering all the freeways that are closed down on the weekend. We would highly recommend Joe's place for a short or long term stay."
"We stayed five nights at Waters edge retreat with our daughter and her husband and their two children ages six and two. The accommodations were perfect! The cottage was recently updated and spotless! It had ample room for our group, including laundry. It was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans, spices, extra paper, towel, etc. Dishes and pots and pans were all in beautiful condition! There is no zero entry into the lake, but it is very shallow near shore and we had no problem swimming there with the six-year-old. The two-year-old wasn’t interested lol. There is also a large sandy beach and public park just a couple minutes away if you have real young children. The responsiveness of management was excellent and we even met the very kind owner. We highly recommend!"
"Betty's Bungalow is a perfect little basecamp to enjoy time at and on a beautiful lake. The owners are thoughtful & communicative, and the cozy cabin has everything you need, inside and out (including a nice oscillating fan to help move air & utilize nature's version of AC) to enjoy the best of Minnesota's summer days and nights at the lake! We look forward to our next visit."
