This is a nice cottage that is located on the northern, western aspect of the island. The cottage was clean and larger than we needed. If you are looking for remote and quiet than this is the place for you.
The cottage was tidy and nicely set up. We were a bit surprised with the lack of wifi and that there was really only a tub with a sprayer and not an actual shower, but both were manageable. The beds were okay, plenty of warm duvets. The view is amazing, we loved sipping our coffee or a dram from the kitchen and front yard looking over the valley.
The cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed. The location was amazing with easy walking to village center. Great local craft show on Tuesdays, the Glendale Village Shop had wonderful local foods, and we could watch seals and otters along the coast of The Little Minch. Easy drives to many great sites on the isle. Great place to stay!

Nice spot. Terrible communication.
Property was fine, as advertised and good value. Communication with owner was nonexistent. Arrived at house with no arrival email or explanation of how to access the house. Sent an email to owner and never heard back (even after the stay was over). Have yet to get a reply. Called the VRBO help line and thankfully they were able to track down a code to the lock box.

We had many troubles with our stay, from vrbo, to cottages.com (who represent the property) to the actual property owner. The good news is that we enjoyed the area. The house was quaint. Low ceilings (which we often bumped our heads on at night). The place was cute in a rural area we enjoyed. The bad news1) we (my fault) booked one more night than we needed. We fully booked 1 month prior to arriving, and when we contacted Cottages.com they said we were too close to the checkin date to alter the reseration.2) why were we contacting Cottages.com and not VRBO ? Because the VRBO chat tool to contact the host gave us errors everytime we messaged the host. Telling us our email address was wrong. Pardon ? I changed the email address, that didn't help. Then I called VRBO on the phone (because their bot chat was completely unhelpful). The representative assured me we would not have further problems, and the checkin instructions would arrive prior to our arrive.3) the checkin instructions did not arrive. This time I called Cottages.com myself (avoided VRBO). After 30 minutes on the phone, Cottages emailed me directly the checkin directions.4) the next morning, as we got ready to explore The Isle Of Skye, we could not lock the front door - door lock was not functioning. I txted the actual owner about the lock, 1 week later have not had a reply.I would avoid this place unless you feel comfortable facing the same issues we did.
The cottage is well located for visiting Dunegan and Neist Point. It is also well equipped. Some of the forms of heating are a little old-fashoioned though and more information needs to be supplied to guests staying when the weather is cool. The owner/manager solved a problem very quickly on a Saturday, for which we were grateful.
Great location and well worth the drive… the cottage is lovely with everything you need.
The northern lights from the front of the house was magical and we felt very lucky
Hope to be back again sometime
